2487 Tasting Notes
Ha, I didn’t realize this was a plain rooibos and just assumed it was super lightly flavored. Well, it was nice and juicy and sweet. Quite a decent cold cup of tea. I would totally drink this again. It looks like this company has shut down, so I hope I don’t enjoy any of their teas too much!
This was a really solid tea! I drank it cold with milk and sugar, and it was super high quality and tasty while still being a simple flavor profile. I made it the night before a long work day, so to be honest, I had no memory of what flavor it was supposed to be, and it tasted like mostly a straight black tea with some rich chocolatey notes. The second time I drank this, I noticed those very natural-tasting chocolate notes again (now I know it’s from nibs and shells). I’ve never tasted any orange here. The resteep was rich and very worth it as well. This tea base and the chocolate flavors go so well together.
This was a little more average tasting than I had hoped. I taste the too-herbaceous coriander and other things that belong more in a health tea than a fun tea. I’m a lemongrass fan, but here it’s just too healthful seeming mixed with the peppermint and everything else. At the end of some sips, my throat catches a bit of the red pepper, which I don’t love here.
I’m pretty sure this is just Adagio’s pecan turtle tea. I used to really enjoy that tea, and I don’t know if they changed the recipe or my tastes changed, but I haven’t loved it the last few times I had it. I taste mostly rooibos with some chocolate and nuttiness. It just isn’t as sophisticated or deep tasting as I would like.
I had a tea a few years ago that tasted just like this. It’s mostly coffee-ish with rooibos in there too. It’s simple, but not bad! I prefer Teeccino, but that’s a lot heartier. This has a lighter vibe, leaning more toward sweetness than bitterness.
I taste the orange and some nuttiness. It’s not the most unique flavor combination, but it’s decent cold. It’s a refreshing combination, but there’s something I can’t put my finger on that I’d prefer tweaked a bit. Maybe I need to underleaf this one for my preferences. I just feel like I’ve had better versions of this tea.
aw, I thought I noticed Herbal Infusions was still open a few months ago…
