2489 Tasting Notes
The dry leaf here is delightful. It looks and smells like a pile of forest leaves in the best way. The strongest flavor here is the cinnamon, though it’s a very natural cinnamon. With sugar and milk, it tastes really fresh and nice. On subsequent cups, I’ve noticed more pine and other earthy flavors and less cinnamon.
This ended up quite tart with pretty strong spices as well. I end up not loving this one. The spices and fruit don’t combine that smoothly so I sort of taste the flavors at separate times? There’s not a lot of nuance either. I guess it probably does check the mulled wine box I assume it’s going for, but that’s always been a flavor profile that doesn’t work for me.
I love a eucalyptus tea! I taste the herbaceous flavor and a bit of fruitiness. Slightly too much herbaceousness, but it’s pleasant cold. My second cup was less herbaceous, more fruity. This is refreshing and different from other fruity teas I’ve had, though not quite well-balanced enough to order again.
This is a pretty generic red fruity tea. It’s pleasant enough cold with sugar. It’s candy-like in a way that reminds me of jello. This is better than some versions of this tea, but it’s just too average of a flavor profile to bother seeking this one out in particular.
I taste mostly lemon plus mild chai spices. It’s a bit of a lighter chai than I’d prefer, but I feel like I get what this one is going for. Pleasant with milk and sugar. I steeped it for longer the last time I had it, and it tastes even better. I sort of do get both the lemon and chai vibes from this! It’s such a fun idea. It’s best cold.
I didn’t like this at all. It has a weird sour flavor. It’s supposed to be like popcorn, but it really didn’t work for me. I tried it two different times hot and cold, with milk and without, and I couldn’t escape that unpleasant sourness. I guess it’s from the apple?
Ooooh fun to see someone else trying this company! I need to steep this one again, I remember it mostly tasting like cinnamon as well.
Your notes inspired me to make an order! I think the company’s vibe is really neat.
For sure, and the artwork is so pretty! :3
