2483 Tasting Notes
As soon as I smelled this, I knew it wasn’t going to be a favorite. Rose is the strongest flavor, and it’s just not something I enjoy. I also taste some neutral fruitiness. I don’t know if it’s the perfume vibe from the rose or added flavoring, but something makes this taste pretty strongly of alcohol, which is a flavor I have an aversion to. So though this is drinkable, for various reasons it’s not a great match for me. It’s hard to know how to rate this because I do think it captures its name quite well, and I probably shouldn’t have bought it due to my preferences.
This tastes strongly of coconut. It’s pretty refreshing cold! I may also get a bit of acidity from the pineapple, in a good way. There’s not too much distinct fruitiness though. It’s best steeped 3 minutes or a little shorter. To me, the recommended time leads to some bitterness. I tried my final cup of this with some milk, which seemed to complement the flavor profile well. It’s not my favorite sort of flavor profile, but it was nice!
Well, I don’t usually like turmeric in teas, but I try almost every herbal DavidsTEA blend, so here we are. I find it too bitter and tangy. It’s not smooth or enjoyable. I really just taste that weird turmeric twang. I don’t notice other spices. I feel like this could have worked if it were balanced better. Milk and sugar make it drinkable, but not good.
This chai is standard, but really not bad for an herbal chai! There’s some sweetness from the licorice. The spices are warming and pleasant without being spicy. Good garage sale find! It’s definitely best warm though. The flavors become muted cold, so my final cup of this was unfortunately quite meh.
With milk and sugar, this is pretty tasty! The mint isn’t as crisp as sometimes, but I can definitely tell that it’s a candy cane type of mint specifically. It’s really fun, though 52teas has better mint teas. And the chocolate is mild, but nice. The resteep was really pleasant. I really came to enjoy this one, especially the rich quality of the black tea.
The whole reason I made my order with this company was to try this tea, and it’s just okay unfortunately. It tastes a little toasty, but also a little…not quite stale, just meh. Nothing about it reminds me of carrot cake. It’s just sort of brown and average.
This tastes almost identical to their rosemary caramel blend, which is my absolute favorite PD tea. It doesn’t have rosemary, but my brain can somehow taste it because it’s so similar to that other blend. It’s warming and desserty and herbaceous on a delicious honeybush base. I wish I had more than just this TTB sample!
Garage sale tea! This isn’t my favorite. I taste some tartness and below that, mostly emptiness. There’s a hint of a nice flavor, but it lacks anything beneath, so it ends up thin and disappointing. Not bad cold, but it required a lot of sugar.
