2482 Tasting Notes
Hot, this wasn’t great. Once it’s cooled down, you really can taste the apple! There’s something a little desserty like caramel, which melds pleasantly with the apple. I wish this didn’t have a combined black/rooibos base, as I’m not really enjoying the quality of the black tea. The rooibos is nice enough! I also wouldn’t call this chai, as I only taste maybe a hint of spice. I much prefer their other caramel apple tea.
This one isn’t bad. I mostly taste blueberry, frozen blueberries specifically. I also taste a pretty smooth, sweet rooibos base below. Pretty simple, but way better executed than many fruity red rooibos blends I’ve tried. Later, I looked at the ingredients and noticed it’s supposed to be juniper, and I don’t taste any of the additional ingredients unfortunately.
The blueberry is a little fake tasting, but milk and sugar smooth things out. It’s not bad, but far from my favorite from Necessiteas. I guess I do get a bit of a blueberry baked good sort of vibe from this, though maybe store bought instead of homemade. Recently, I’ve been using almond milk to accentuate the nuttiness. This one is growing on me!
I got this at the DavidsTEA in Toronto. It was really exciting to go into the shop after buying online for years. I taste the bergamot and some coconut as well. There’s something a little herbaceous in the aftertaste that I wouldn’t have minded being left out, but it’s really not bad. Mixed up in some milk, it’s a nice way to have a matcha feeling in the evening. I bought this in April, and the coconut is starting to go off, so I’m hurrying to finish it up now. My last cup tasted like a mix of floral flavors and old coconut.
This is the exact type of tea that I love. It’s so soft and marshmallowy. I distinctly taste the banana and the berry. It all combines so beautifully. The banana is a fresh green type of banana. The berry is fresh too. The green tea is super smooth. I vote for more fluff teas! It’s so refreshing cold.
This is a little dank. I taste rooibos that’s not the most delicious, and there’s some kind of flavor, but I wouldn’t call it pumpkin spice. It’s all just muddled and meh. It was fun meeting the company’s owner in Toronto, but I unfortunately didn’t love any of the four teas I bought.
It really makes me wonder when I try dank blends. Like, did the blend just get mixed yp over time or did they just not know how to vle d properly or maybe their taste buds are that different?
Thanks to Kaylee for sharing some of this!! I mixed it with cold milk, and it was definitely interesting! Sometimes it tastes like celery, which isn’t my favorite. Other times, I could really taste a tart flavor that’s reminiscent of sour candy. I had passionfruit a few days ago, so it’s pretty fresh in my mind, and it’s not exactly the same, but I can definitely feel the direction it’s going!
