1324 Tasting Notes
My initial impression upon opening the bag was that this tea smells like mango Hi-Chews. It’s one of THOSE teas that you can’t help but to just keep sniffing. Once brewed the flavor is a cross between mango candy and mango fruit. The pouchong is the perfect base tea providing butteriness and creaminess. You also get just the right amount of floral-ness that mimics an actual fresh ripe mango. I had pretty high expectations when I bought this tea and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend it! My only regret is that I wish I had opened it sooner.
Flavors: Butter, Candy, Creamy, Floral, Mango

I’m not sure what happened with my earlier note of this tea but in this cup, I definitely am tasting the lavender. This bergamot in this tea is strong and probably too much for some people. Between the strong lavender and bergamot in this cup it comes across as a bit too much. It’s slightly soapy in taste but I also am tasting orange oddly enough. So maybe my first note wasn’t a fluke after all?
At the same time I do really love the bergamot they used
It’s funny how the description describes this as a ‘light’ bergamot tea. I think most people would prefer this one with milk as it really balances everything out. I probably should have tried this one with milk sooner because it’s really good that way.
Flavors: Bergamot, Lavender, Orange
Preparation
I was sure I’d reviewed this before but it’s not showing up if I did. I’ve only gotten probably two good cups out of my large quantity of this that I started with. This particular cup was not a good one but a better overall representation of this tea. It’s vegetal and not in a good way. It also is somewhat metallic tasting and tastes a bit like mud. The more pleasant cup I’ve had of this had some lovely creamed corn notes and greens.
Flavors: Corn Husk, Metallic, Mud, Vegetables
Oof. Sounds bad. We have a Tung Ting from Tin Roof Teas that we love, mainly with breakfast. It may be sourced from Teageschwendner.
It was a gift from a family member but I’m definitely trying to finish it off. It’s mostly stems compared to leaves and I wonder if that’s part of the issue. Red Blossom has a lovely Tung Ting Tea from what I recall.

I love this one and would definitely reorder it next time I get more teas from Lupicia. I steeped up my last cup of this and unfortunately made the wrong decision while debating whether I should check what temp I normally brew this one at. I assumed it was boiling but it turns out I should have used 200F instead. As a result, it was quite bitter and not the most pleasant sendoff. I added some soymilk and that helped a lot to hide the bitterness. Usually, when steeped correctly it has a lovely flavor that reminds me of sparkling wine. It’s floral with a bit of fruitiness and resembles a strawberry soda.
Preparation
I have never noticed this one on their site. Ive been enjoying my Rosé ice cream so maybe I should give this a try.
I made a small pot of this one this morning and used the recommended lower water temperature. This is my second time having this tea and the first time I prepared it with boiling water. I’m still finding it a bit boring and I think I still prefer Townshend’s earl grey creme to this one. Unfortunately, that one isn’t available anymore since Townshend’s closed their doors. This one just needs more of something more vanilla maybe?
Preparation
Got a tin of this in the sale and I’m excited to try my first flavored matcha from DT.
The instructions were a bit confusing as it looked like they wanted a LOT of matcha for one cup something like 5-6 spoonfuls for a 16oz mug. I just decided to do a more normal preparation and see how it goes. It’s very watered down tasting so maybe it does need a lot more matcha. That’s a bummer considering the price but I do get a bit of gingerbread flavor and it’s really nice.
Preparation
I really like this one and considered getting a tin, but decided to try some new flavors instead. I’m not sure it needs quite as much matcha as they recommend, but it is more than you might expect!
I have sampled teas that I wished I could use as potpourri! Your scent description made me breathe a little deeper hoping I could catch a whiff.
This one smells and tastes so good! One of my favs from the Lupicia group buy.
Same I would say this is my favorite from the group buy as well!
Lupicia sent me a sample of this one and I adored it. They know what they are doing I definitely want to order more.
