From DAVIDsTEA

Indulge

This ultra-rare oolong from the Wuyi Mountains of China is velvety smooth and lightly creamy, with a subtle hint of orchid. It’s said that it came about when the moon fell in love with a comet. The comet passed her by, as comets will do. The moon cried milky tears, which chilled the tea fields, withering the leaves and giving them a delicate creaminess. It’s been a rare luxury ever since.

Ingredients: Chinese oolong tea from the Fujian province, natural flavouring.

This oolong has a nice milky smell. I don’t know how they got the smell though. The sales rep told me the farmers left the leafs over the winter so they collect the moisture. Does it explain the taste? I don’t know. Maybe I will dig into it.

I steeped the tea twice. Fist time at 6 min and second time at 7 min. The taste was still good at the second steep. I have to say I don’t like the milky part after the second steep. It somehow feels…too creamy for my taste. If you are like the traditional taste of oolong. This tea may not suite you. However, it can be a nice change.

I went on a limb to try this one (I don’t normally buy straight teas from DT), and it was somewhat disappointing. The quality of the oolong was definitely there, but the taste was not as I had initially expected. I had a Milk Oolong from TeaSpring a year or so ago (which, according to some on here, may have been flavored) that had a more pronounced milky taste, so my expectations were as such.

MILK oolong.
I have a sample of this tea from the connoisseur package, and I think this is my first time trying straight oolong.
And it’s just making me realize all over again how wonderful straight, conservative teas are. Blends have never really thrilled me, but straight teas seem to hold all the magic.
There’s so much tradition behind it, and I feel as though I can relate to people thousands of years back who were sipping their tea, thinking wise thoughts, enjoying life in a cup. :)

Any tea that leads to thinking like this deserves high praise.
If it weren’t for the steep prices (ahaahah; did not mean to use a pun) I would definitely get 100g of this right away!!

I’m new to tea, I got this as a sample with the other tea I got from DavidsTea. It tastes like I poured in cream in my tea (and boy do I love that combination). Its absolutely gorgeous, great way to start teas.

Its great on the second infusion as well as the first. I steeped it with one of those enclosed strainers for lack of a basket, so I feel like I could have gotten a better taste if I had like the tea leaves unfurl to their full potential. I also ate one of the tea leaves after brewing, even the leaf is delicious!

Wasn’t sure at all when I smelled it at first, I’m more a fruit/chocolate/lots of taste kind of girl, but this tea really surprised me ! It feels so good to drink it plane, no milk/sugar of any sort ! that spinach taste and milky texture, just perfect ! I use it when ever I don’t feel like drinking a sweet tea !

This tea has a wonderful musky taste to it. Rich, with a bit of a creamy feel (as the name suggests), it reminds me of my uncle’s home: leathers, wood, and a mixture of the old and art neveau.

I was told that the second brew is best, but I found the strength of the first much more preferable. Still nice the second time around, mind.

First ‘milk’ oolong. Milky, buttery, steamy spinach undertones . In a comforting way.

I Love this tea. Tried it at David’s with the $1 deal. I and resteeped it 3 times at home enjoyed all three cups. Going to pick this one up soon! Unfortionatly it does cost some $ but can be resteeped which helps with the cost.

This has become my standard Oolong.
Whenever I feel like having a good cup of rich, floral Oolong, delicate yet full, the Quangzhou Milk Oolong never disappoints. I tried a few Milk Oolongs from different stores, and I honestly couldn’t see a big difference; each of them was just as good. This one is no exception. Certainly a classic I’ll keep coming back to for my whole life.

TTB tea! This is super buttery. It’s tasty with sugar and milk, though not as great as other milk oolongs I’ve tried. I did a cold resteep, which might have tasted even more buttery and nice than the first steep.
