726 Tasting Notes
Definitely laughing at the state of my kitchen right now.
All my roommates have left for the weekend and I’ve just taken over the kitchen and dining area with my textbooks and teas because heck, why be cooped up in my room when the kitchen is nice and open?
I like washing dishes, I do I do, so right now the only things in the dish rack are the plates used over the past two days and… my tea pot and about 6 mugs because of all the tea that I’ve been drinking. A different mug for breakfast, lunch and dinner hehe :)
Still studying. Finishing up 302, and hopefully going to move to 374 at around 8 tonight. I’ve got my Meadow in my disappearing Tardis mug and I’m going to get through this weekend! So much studying but I’ve got time! Gotta pass all these midterms with flying colours, and I’ve got my teas to keep me company :)
Preparation
Ginger ginger pepper pepper pepper and ginger.
Wow.
I’m not.. I’ve never had tea like this before! I’m just feeling a tad sick and I need concentration tea so I’ve been busting out my herbals and rooibos teas because freakin midterms are coming up.
The second I got this tea from shmiracles, I opened the pack up and sniffed heavily. This just smells GREAT in the package, and it tastes even much better!
(shhh I actually was out of this tea for a week or so because I sent the last of it to shmiracles. But it’s all good because I knew my sister was going to send me more since this tea is only available in the Lupicia stores in San Francisco)
Okay. This. I’m experimenting right now.
I’ve got chia seeds and I like them and I’ve had them before in other drinks and just plain old water. I actually really like the texture of the chia seeds since it reminds me of tapioca!
I’m letting my chia seeds soak in water for about 10-15 minutes, then I’ll go ahead and pour my tea on top of the seeds :)
((not an actual tasting note, but like… a life update ha. But yes this tea is good and sweet and very much like honey dew! Not the biggest fan of honey dew, but a huuuge fan of this honey dew tea!)
Literally a zombie right now.
Midterms are killing me. Three in one week? Really? Did all my professors get together to decide and make sure that I would have to take all the important midterms within two days of each other? Bleeehhh
Well thank you shmiracles for sending this tea my way! Looove vanilla so much! This tea definitely has vanilla in it and it makes me so so happy. The tea smells sweet and nice as it brews. Ohh is that a legit bit of a vanilla bean in this tea!? Tasting it, it’s nothing super special. Just a simple green tea with vanilla :) Reminds me a lot of Bilbo Brew, without all the cinnamon and sweet potato
I don’t even know how tilleul tea is supposed to taste like. I opened the pack and got the mint. Brewed it and got the mint. Mainly just drinking this tea because of mint and I need to concentrate because midterms and tummy aches don’t mix. Mint teas to the rescue!
Preparation
I.
NEED.
TO.
BE.
CALM.
SO I HAD TO WATCH AN EPISODE OF KITCHEN NIGHTMARES FOR CLASS.
Oh my gosh. I don’t watch that show because it just… it’s not my thing? But I had to watch it for class and I’M LITERALLY IN TEARS. THAT WAS THE MOST PAINFUL SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. IT’S BEEN HALF AN HOUR SINCE I FINISHED AND I’M CRINGING.
Calming tea. Need to be calm. Need to not strangle those people because they don’t know how to run a restaurant oh my gosh I legit would have QUIT the second I figured out how the restaurant functioned.. well it didn’t function at all.
Calm. Calm. Calm. I need this tea. Reduce my headache and be caaaaalm.
(If you want to know what I’m talking about, it’s the Amy’s Baking Company episode of Kitchen Nightmares: http://www.sockshare.com/file/1486DE835B457C1C3)
The first of my Steepster Select teas! I got these like a month ago but I didn’t have a teapot for the longest time BUT NOW I DO.
First off, I’d like to point out that Steepster Select packages their teas in the cutest way possible and I love it SO much.
I wanted to drink a tea from the package so I just stuck my hand into the bag and decided to drink the first one I touched! So Karigane #22 it is :)
Opening the pack, yep. Smells like seaweed and smells very much like sushi!! Smells like roasted nori which I LOVE so much! But in tea? Huh. Let’s see :)
Brewing… still smells like nori. I kinda want some now. Light green in colour.
Tasting… oh. Tastes just like it smells. Like liquified nori. I actually really like it! But that’s just my love for sushi talking :)
Happy studying!
Thanks! But there is no such thing as happy studying with these subjects haha.
Hah!
