1598 Tasting Notes
Ok, here’s 2 of hopefully 12!
This definitely smells like licorice. I think there’s lemongrass in there as well. Also, just a touch of mint. I was a little worried that the licorice would be overpowering and dominate the blend, but it’s actually quite subtle, and the tea has all natural flavours. It’s very relaxing, and very well blended!
Again, it’s not candy cane, not like DAVIDsTEA or Della Terra would do it, but, you know what? That’s fine. That’s totally fine. This blend would be well suited all year round this way.
Oh, and I promised to take pictures of each of the teas – so far, so good!
Preparation
Merry Christmas!
It’s midnight so I’m allowed to open my Christmas present! I chose these 12 Days of Christmas teas as my Christmas present from J (as he’s not big on Xmas and this takes the pressure off him, while allowing me to get more tea!)
I thought it would be fun to see how many of these I can drink on Christmas! So here’s the first one! It’s really pretty – you can see all the detail in the pic I uploaded. It doesn’t seem like your regular Pumpkin Pie tea, and I’ve had a few of those…
It doesn’t taste like pumpkin pie – it tastes fruity and light and really refreshing. As it cools a little, the flavours shift – the light flavours remind me of the airiness of pumpkin pie, but it doesn’t have the nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger spices that I expected.
Call me crazy, but it’s almost more lemon meringue than it is pumpkin pie.
I like it though! It’s a nice start to Christmas!
Preparation
I liked this and now it’s gone and onto my shopping list. :)

I’m watching one last episode of SPN (4.08) before we have company over and then I won’t have control over the tv! Oh noez! :P Happy Holidays.
(cheaper tea an option too since this will go to a good home. i like it but i always lean towards other teas first)
And this was another extra sample from Sil!
It’s really good, although it sorta reminds me of Ruby Pie? Maybe just because I had it yesterday and the memory of the strawberry is lingering on.
This is a nice tea. I have enough for one or two more cups, and I’m looking forward to them.
Thank you CrowKettle for the bag of this! It’s going next to my Butiki teas!
I don’t really taste much of the base but I love the smell of this, and the hazelnut is really good.
I’m happy to have more!
It is sooo good. I have a little left…kinda scared to finish it off, cuz then it will be gone, but it is really yummy.
Yeah. Yeahhhhhh. I keep meaning to email them. I’d rather a real website than sending emails back and forth to arrange an order…. Of course I might do it.
they were supposed to revamp the site back in like.. october. that’s what the woman said. but yeah..no change.
Thanks Janelle for letting me try this one! (167)
It’s not a bad tea, but this blend isn’t as memorable as Santa’s Little Helper or Read My Lips. I do like the banana walnut combo, and I can actually taste the calendula too, but it is a little salty, like Tea Sipper mentioned in their review.
I’m still happy I tried it!
ETA Oh. Oh, YUCK. As it cools it really tastes like Play-Doh. No exaggeration. Swooooosh
I drank this one earlier without really knowing what it was. It smelled sweet, rich and a little spicy and tasted fruity and… heavy?
When I looked it up I realized it was orange citrus and once I had that in my head it was very obvious to my taste buds. Whoops. I need to get better at identifying it without knowing what I’m drinking. :P
Overall this is a nice tea, but I think I’d prefer an actual EG to this one. Thanks Sil for letting me steal a scoop!

Backlog:
I tried this again as a cold-brew while the power was out as it seemed like it’d be better that way.
It wasn’t.
Still, I’m happy I tried it because how else would I know?
