It was 9pm and I was ready to doze off and I couldn’t have that, so time to drink some lovely Tiger Assam!

I’ve only got enough for 2 more cups, then I’ll have to decide what to do with my pretty tiger tin!

Thank you BrewTeallySweet for sharing this with me! (162)

After drinking Big Red Robe tea all day I have no problem identifying the oolong in this blend. Then there’s mint and spices in each sip. It’s tasty but not something I would go out of my way to get.

Mmmm. This is all I’ve been drinking today, and all I’ll be drinking later too. (Oolong Saturday, anyone?) I brewed up a cup of Northern Wilds in my timolino for after this cup, and I didn’t realize it was made with a Big Red Robe oolong too. :P

Ok, this is gone and I don’t need more. I sorta snagged 30g of DAVIDsTEA’s version on Boxing Day!

So….what exactly IS Boxing Day?

TeaLady441

It’s our version of Black Friday, but it’s not quite as insane as Black Friday, i.e. no one has ever been trampled? But people line up overnight and the store open super early so people can grab the first come, first serve awesome deals. And the malls are completely packed with people looking to spend their Christmas money in themselves…. :p

It’s sorta turned into Boxing Week instead if just the day, but the best stuff is sold on Boxing Day.

I was in retail for many years and if you work retail, you WILL work Boxing Day. It’s the busiest day of the year and all staff are needed to handle the massive crowds. It’s always been insane but I sorta miss it because we made it fun with potlucks in the back room and all the coffee you want to jazz up. :p

I never even heard of Black Friday until a few years ago though!

TeaLady441

Black Friday us becoming more of a thing here now, because of online store influencing the rest. So we are spoiled up here!

I wish I could get more of this – Amoda & Butiki – are you guys paying attention? :P

Plunkybug

I tried this one again in my fancy kettle (which I think is getting things up to temp?) but it just isn’t working for me.

I’m tossing the last half of my sample into my sample box for my sister – she is interested in trying new teas and I’m happy I can share them!

Plunkybug

I was nervous about this one, but it worked out for me. More nutty than noggy, which was ok with me. I have a little left.

Thank you CrowKettle – this was a nice surprise sample! (Sipdown, 166)

I waited until my variable kettle (http://bit.ly/1de2AJv) arrived so I could try it out! (Eeee! New kettle!!! I’m still trying to figure out how it works, but I do like that it doesn’t beep or anything once the water is heated!

This is a really nice white tea. I don’t often drink white teas because they taste like barely flavoured water, but this one has a lot of neat flavours to it. I’m getting hay, and peach notes. Very nice!

Nice! I want a new electric kettle, Leif has taken over mine?

Terri HarpLady

Oops, that wasn’t suppose to be a question

TeaLady441

Haha. I do that sometimes. ;)

I’m really happy I got one. I love that this one will keep the water warm for an hour!

Mmmm. This one is just so sweet and subtly minty that I find it so relaxing before bed. Hello lemongrass – you’re welcome here too!

The licorice in this reminds me of Stash’s licorice, which was always my favourite, so I’m happy.

Ok – this is more like it. Smooth black base and eggnog spices. I wish I had real eggnog to mix this with!
