2987 Tasting Notes
This is good to flavour other things, but savoury teas disturb me for some reason.Despite not having any peanuts in it, this tastes a lot like sweetened peanut butter.
Flavors: Brown Sugar, Nuts, Peanut, Powdered Sugar, Sweet
Preparation
Never oversteeps. Using boiling water will burn the leaves and make it taste bad, use cooler water and steep longer. I taste spearmint and also some floral notes like lavender and something that tastes like a lemon or citrus scented flower. This is amazing hot or cold. A local restaurant even makes Angel water flavoured ice cream (have not tried it.) I can understand why it is so popular, I think the sweet spearmint goes really well with the herbs and flower petals. I’ve had not-so-great cups of this flavour before, so I’m thinking the water temperature is important.
Flavors: Floral, Herbs, Lavender, Medicinal, Spearmint, Sweet
Preparation
This will oversteep fast, but if you steep about 1.5-2 minutes you will get a flavourful but not (overly) sour or tart liquid. It steeps a dark pink purple. This is ok hot, it tastes blue acidic blueberries and there is a definite bran muffin after taste. This would be AMAZING cold, I’m going to try it iced soon, because it would be perfect served cold.
Flavors: Blueberry, Fruity, Grain, Grapes, Pastries, Pleasantly Sour
Preparation
Really basic, nothing stands out about this blend. I’m not a huge fan of the black tea base. The raspberry was artificial tasting, kind of generic “raspberry candy” flavoured, slightly sweet and berryish, but not great. The black tea kind of has an artificial cream cheese taste in my opinion.
Flavors: Artificial, Berry, Fruity, Tannic
Preparation
I believe I may have found my favourite chai. I love how wonderfully sweet, flavourful, and spicy it is. I could not taste rooibos, but I still enjoyed the blend a lot.
Flavors: Cardamom, Clove, Ginger, Peppercorn, Spices, Spicy
