UPDATE: This tea goes great using a quarter of an ultra-mini cake in my new 60ml gaiwan from yunnan sourcing(pictured). There is little to no bitterness. A happy medium.

Wet leaf: sweet, cereal (porridge).

Light steep; I smell/taste: medium
—→ bitterness, green, grass, honey, spices. Strong metallic (iron).

I should have used half. Even with a 130ml teapot. steep times will be shorter. (Strong tea lol) removed a bit of leaf.

Medium steep; much better. Light bitterness Medium —→ honey, spices, metallic (iron), green, grass.

Heavy steep; I smell/taste: I’m going to skip.

A weird yet tasty tea. I rate a 90/100. Tip: if you want to avoid bitterness I suggest you use a 200 or more milliliter teapot. I enjoyed this tea still. It’s a good tea. May just be too strong for me. If you love strong teas, I suggest you try this tea. (Or if you’re curious.) The tea is good. Tasty. Fresh. Maybe I’ll find a new home for this tea. :).

Note: my apologies. I forgot to do the smell portion

Iirc, they are sold out of single tongs

Dry leaf: musty, sweet, earthy.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BonGOchlC4o/?taken-by=kirkoneill1988

Wet leaf: earthy, very sweet, rainforest/forest floor.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BonGZsBl9lq/?taken-by=kirkoneill1988

Light steep; I smell/taste:
Smell; earthy, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate, camphor(?), mushrooms(?).
Taste; medium —→ earth, metallic(copper/iron), rainforest/forest, fermentation, sweet, Mushrooms, chocolate, cookies. Strong camphor. Special note: brewed tea has a thick tasty mouth feel.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BonGXNblCVC/?taken-by=kirkoneill1988

Medium steep; I smell/taste:
Smell; Same as above however a bit stronger.
Taste; medium —→ cookies, mushroom. strong —→ earth, camphor, metallic (iron/copper)

Note: I won’t be doing a heavy steep a I figure from above notes, it would possibly be too strong. Maybe I’m a few years if I buy it again, then I can try. I suggest light steeps.

Aside from a lack of a heavy steep, I rate a 100/100. Just so clean, crisp, and tasty!

Where to buy: https://yunnansourcing.com/products/2016-menghai-7752-ripe-pu-erh-tea-cake

Another special note, it may be hard to pry good sized chunks off. This is not a big deal. Still a great tea.

Herbal Blast by Teazsol.
At first it produced a lovely mauve color. Now it’s red. The taste reminds me of blueberries and other fruits and berries. I recommend you give this company a go. I rate the tea a 97/100. Remember this is a new concept I’ve never heard of. That is tea bagged teas made from corn husk

I don’t usually drink bagged teas, but this is really yummy. Zesty like oranges, sweet and all around yummy. If you’re into tea bagged teas, I suggest you give this a go.
