415 Tasting Notes
Not at good as the gunpowder green tea from iHOT. More astringency, smaller pieces.
Flavors: Astringent
Preparation
Not sure if you mean broken pieces or smaller gun powder tea, which is a sign of quality tea. I have 3 empty tins of this in my cupboard. (I think Walmart ran out of it)
I would say broken pieces more so, and the tea from iHOT had more “pellets” where tuning’ tea looks more unraveled.
Either way, it’s not a bad tea: I just personally prefer the stuff from iHOT more.
Re-review of this tea.
I’m going to be switching to mate teas on weekdays. I’m going to get Invisalign braces very soon and won’t be able to drink as much tea because you have to remove the trays every time you want to eat or drink (other than water), so I figured getting a stronger tea is a good idea so I can have 1 cup and be satisfied.
I really enjoyed this one. Reminds me of the lemon green rooibos they have: nice and lemony and brews up well with no bitterness. A stronger cup than a lot of the green teas I’ve been having lately. This may be my go-to-tea for a while.

Sil- looks like on the website you can buy 50g at a time? They also have sampler packs too https://www.internationalhouseoftea.com/collections/yerba-mate/products/yerba-mate-sampler
Evol Ving ness- Lol no worries! 4 cups a day is still decent. and I like water too so that’s fine.
I say 4 cups because with Invisalign you have to wear them for 22h/day. So my plan is 4 eating breaks, 30min each, a cup at each meal break.
Haha. What I’m more bummed about is on the weekends I like to slowly sip wine (a small glass will take me an hour to drink down!). I will have to now chug down my glass instead. Oh well. I’m looking forward to getting my teeth fixed up anyways!
Bought this because I forgot tea one day at work and I work next to a wal-mart which sold this. Overall it’s alright. I can really taste the cinnamon and a bit of turmeric. Not too spicy when steeped for a long time. Overall I wish this has a rooibos base for some depth. I’ll finish up the box though no prob.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Spicy
Preparation
I appreciated the fact that the cinnamon wasn’t overpowering (for some reason I expected that since it was meant for apple cider? Hmm…). Not sure if I can detect coriander, but baking spices are there. Overall it’s alright. I will have to see what spice blend is my favorite from the sampler pack ;)
Flavors: Cinnamon
Preparation
One of the spice blends from the sampler pack. I steeped about 1.5-2.0 tsp in 10oz of 200F water for 5 min. Result is a mild taste of baking spices and vanilla/anise (not cloyingly sweet or anything though). I’m curious on how it would handle 10min- I don’t think it would be overbearing or anything though. Would consider blending this with early grey cream rooibos. Mmmm.

Freebee for the month of March!
Chocolate teas aren’t usually my thing, but figured I’d give this a go. Luckily, the chocolate is quite light as is the sweetness of this tea (I’m used to DAVIDS chocolate teas that are packed full of sugar). I like the very mild spice to this tea- that adds an interesting concept. Overall I’m glad to try it but there are other honeybush or rooibos blends I like better from iHOT.
Preparation
Decided to mock up Steeped tea’s lemon ginger tea-tox (lemongrass, rose petals and ginger pieces). Steeped Tea is selling this blend at $9/50g (or $15/100g which translates to $7.50/50g). iHOT mocked up the blend and charged me $4.50/50g.
I’ve missed having a lemongrass blend. Love this light floral blend with a hint of ginger. I did a ratio of 2 parts lemongrass to 1 part rose petals and light on the ginger. Really nice.

Another tea the husband picked up when I was sick as a dog. Sorry to say but I’m not the biggest fan of this one (too acidic with the citric acid and rose hips). However, he likes it quite a bit so I will continue to serve him this one.
