1118 Tasting Notes
Tea of the morning. I woke up to frost on the ground this morning, and I knew I wanted this in my mug. It’s so warming and unique. There’s a sweet fruity note along with smoke and spice. The combination is absolutely delicious. The end of the sip is very clean leaving just a touch of heat in the back of the throat. Nice.
I removed my infuser a minute earlier than I normally do, and the difference was amazing. There’s a lot less smoke and the longan fruit note is much more pronounced. Because I’m a fan of smoke I’ll keep to a longer steep time, but this one was very nice, too.
Preparation
This has been in my cup all day. There’s the flavor of good crusty bread along with a squash-like note mixed with honey. The end of the sip is all salted caramel. Mercy all, I do love this tea.
Preparation
Still drinking this. Still loving it. I feel like I’ve settled into a set of teas that I really enjoy which makes for happy sipping but terribly boring tasting notes. Not sure what to do about that. I can say that I have enough leaf left for one more serving of this, and then I’ll be able to order the new version of this tea. Yay!
Preparation
Haha I have 2 servings of this left that I have been hording b/c this is sooo good. I should just finish them and then it will give me an excuse to order more right? Love love love this one.
Comfort tea. My son and I were in a car accident earlier today. We, as well as the driver of the other car, are fine (thank goodness!), but it still rattled me. I’ve been extra jumpy and sensitive, so I decided to calm myself with this lovely tea. Right now it’s everything I need it to be – hot, soothing, delicious, and easy to resteep. Sigh.
Preparation
Oh no! Take care. Accidents, no matter how small, can rattle you for life! My hubby complains about my back seat driving because of an accident I was in.
Thanks. The car is dented but we can still drive it. I’ve been in an accident before but never with my child in the car. That’s what shook me up the most. My son, on the other hand, has already moved passed it and is happily playing in his room.
Darby, I completely understand! I backseat drive for the same reason. This is the second time I’ve been hit because someone didn’t see me in their blind spot. I want to tell everyone I drive with “Check your blind spot!” over and over again.
I’m so glad you’re okay. It is scary when you’re in an accident like that. I had my share earlier this year, and I know I spent quite a while afterward being paranoid about other cars on the road and in parking lots.
I had this one earlier today. I love cinnamon teas, and I really love this cinnamon tea. For some reason I only drink this during the autumn and winter, but when I do drink it I enjoy it so much. It’s wonderful plain, but add a little sugar and it’s like liquid Red Hots candy. Yum.
I can’t decide if this is an fall tea or not. The name is certainly appropriate for this time of year, and I am a big fan of Halloween. The tea itself has a wonderful spearmint and vanilla flavor, and there is a nice creamy feeling to it as well. It’s a great tea to unwind and relax with, and given that that’s exactly what I’m aiming to do today I guess that makes this an excellent fall tea. ;-)
Preparation
I woke up earlier than I intended to a cold rainy day and a chilly house. A great time to drink this, one of my favorite fall teas. In fact, I think I’m going to spend today drinking fall inspired teas, or at least teas that remind me of autumn. This one could end up in my cup several times today. The mix of cranberry, almond, and vanilla is soooo good!
Preparation
Yet another Whispering Pines tea. I’m on a roll!
I’m drinking the old version of this blend. I steeped it for seven minutes and was rewarded with notes of honey, chocolate, malt, cinnamon, bread, and smoke in an almost syrupy thick tea. Oh, so good. I’ve already resteeped the leaves once. I’m going to steep them one more time to eek out all of the yummy goodness in this blend.
I only have one serving of this left, and while the hoarder in me wants to hold on to it I think I’m going to finish it off this weekend so I can get the new version of this tea with my next WPT order.
Win! Win!
I always get earaches when I’m sick, too… Hate it. :(
Aww, hope you get better soon!
And I totally agree, it’s underrated to the max.
Hope you get feeling better.
