Advent Calendar Day 3

It was exciting to see a Dessert by Deb tea in today’s Advent packet from Amanda! I’ve been seeing this brand around Steepster a lot lately but haven’t placed an order for myself yet. Having tried a couple of 52Teas rice krispy treat-inspired blends in the past, I was expecting the flavors of popped rice and marshmallow. I am getting a taste of toasty rice from the genmaicha but the overall taste is a mouthful of creamy coconut. Which I don’t object to at all…I love coconut!…but it certainly doesn’t remind me of a rice krispy treat. Not sure how to rate this, honestly. It doesn’t match the name, but it’s a pretty delicious coconut genmaicha!

I found this one confusing as well! Thought you may enjoy it, since coconut is the dominant flavor.

Inkling

Yep, once I got over the fact that it tasted nothing like what I expected, I did really enjoy it. :)

Deb seems to be a coconut fan, she puts it in everything! XD

Silent Kettle

Yeah, I thought I would love this one too, but it left me feeling a bit confused. I think it could improve if it had some tiny marshmallows in it or something! :)

Bio

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” ~ C.S. Lewis

I was introduced to loose leaf tea by a roommate in 2012, but it wasn’t until I stumbled upon Steepster in 2014 that I discovered a world of tea that went beyond Teavana and the grocery store.

My tastes continue to evolve, but black tea is currently my favorite. I am especially drawn to strong, malty breakfast blends to wake me up in the morning and flavored dessert teas to sip throughout the day.

Just about everything in my cupboard is available to swap, so feel free to ask!
