I’m realizing I only like lavender minimally in my tea blends. I believe Deb nailed this tea blend because if you like lavender and coconut, you will enjoy this. However, it tastes a bit too soapy for me, but that isn’t the tea’s fault; just my preference.

Now that I have had this tea a few more times, I do like it, but I am not sure if it is my favourite Dessert by Deb blend. I like the addition of the toasted rice in here – it gives it a crunchy sort of feeling. The bag also smells like the most delicious toasted caramel!

However, I think this tea is missing something. I think it needs a much stronger brown sugar and caramel presence. I also believe adding just the tiniest bit of sea salt to this would have really elevated it to the next level.

I also think a better name for this tea would have been, sweet and salty popcorn

What I have noticed about Momo Tea’s flavoured sencha is that you can definitely still taste the earthy undertones of the sencha, and the flavourings that Momo adds to the tea are actually very mild!

When I first opened this, it reminded me of nail polish remover. Like an alcoholic, chemical scent. But I expected this to smell like bright and citrus. However, after it steeps, this alcoholic smell calms down and I was left with a pleasant light citrus note.

I have never had yuzu before; however, in this tea it tastes slightly like a cross between an orange and a lemon. But the prominant note in this tea is still the earthy, slightly bitter sencha.

This really does taste like melted cookie butter in a cup! :) It has a crackly, toasty, spiced cookie butter vibe! I love this as a latte! :)

My package of momo tea is finally here! To be honest, the way the teas were packaged was slightly disappointing since usually my tea mail comes in a cardboard box, however, these teas were stuffed inside a envelope. So, some of the teas were crumpled when I opened them, but otherwise, everything came out fine and I would still recommend ordering from here! :)

Smell: This smells exactly like a green apple jolly rancher. It has a strong, artificial apple scent that is not unpleasant in any way. However, after it has steeped, the smell has mellowed out a lot and it tastes like a natural, juicy green apple.

Taste: I am not sure if I made this properly. This is some good quality sencha! You really only need a little bit to get a full-bodied flavour. I think I put too much leaf, so it tastes bitter and astringent. However, I think this is a problem that can easily be remedied, and I look forward to trying it again with less tea leaf this time.

For this tea, you can definitely still taste the sencha. However, it also has a very slight and natural green apple taste which I find pleasant.

I love this one! :) I like it as a latte, but I also like it plain. It tastes like you are drinking a melted cinnamon raisin bread! :) I also love how Deb makes flavoured hojicha blends.

This smells wonderful, just like Deb’s other orange blends. I tried to get each of the ingredients when I steeped this (dark chocolate, orange, rooibos base etc.)

This produces an oily sheen, which is to be expected since this contains chocolate, but it is not an unpleasant mouthfeel.

This mostly tastes like red rooibos tea with a hint of orange. I wish the chocolate note was stronger.

I do not think I will repurchase this.

This tea still amazes me. I cannot believe how much this smells like a yeasty, bread-like, expensive cinnamon bun you would get at the mall. How the heck did Deb re-create that smell using like 6 ingredients, lol?!

I love this tea with milk and brown sugar! It makes me feel like I am being hugged from the inside out.

I ended up getting this because I saw a lot of positive reviews on this tea! And oh boy! Was this ever floral. It smells like a garden! And it also reminds me of my essential oil diffuser blends from sage! :)

I think Deb nailed the flavour of lavender and coconut. It also goes well with the earthy, mild green tea base. The smell is also extremely strong because there is so much lavender in this tea.

I think if you love lavender, then you will love this tea. However, I have learned I feel impartial towards lavender. I neither strongly like nor dislike it, so I feel pretty neutral about this tea blend.
