Awesome good!!!
sometimes ya smell or taste something because you read it in a description, I read peanut aroma and try to smell peanut and I do totally and it smells really really good. Everybody else says it smells nutty too, I made everybody sniff it cuz it smelled so good lol

2 reviews already as I read them I see they are both so different but I’m in agreement with both of them and then some, this tea is Sooooo Good!

The taste is even better than the smell, I’m not very experienced at yellow teas so i’m not sure how they are suppose to taste but this one is just Awesome.
It is nutty(like the smell)kinda roasty and buttery with a savory note and so velvety smooth, vegetal, woodsy, smokey, earthy and slight sweetness too(sweetness like the sweetness of sweet peas).
Last but not least I get a slight hint of an odd something that took me a while to put my finger on, I think it may be called an Umami?
I’m not sure how to describe it, its a kinda savory almost, kinda like the Umami that you get from a grilled steak, I know that weird but thats what I get.
This one to me is kinda like a cross between a nutty, buttery, roasty oolong and a sweet, vegetal, smokey green tea(smokeyness like a gunpowder green).

I really, really dig this tea,in Love for sure.
Sad that I almost drank my Mini all up I will be wanting to get more of this one asap :)
I’ve had 1 or 2 Yellow Teas before but not enough to know anything,
Is This what yellow teas taste like? Now I must explore more yellow teas lol
100 Points!

Flavors: Butter, Peanut, Smoke, Umami, Vegetal, Wood

Umami— I had to look it up— you’re right! I think the umami is responsible for the broth-like quality. Great tasting note!

Ba de ya – say do you remember
Ba de ya – dancing in September!
I’ve said that oolongs are my favorite rainy day teas, specially a darker, roasty oolong, this one would make a superb rainy day tea too.
They used the word petrichor inthe description page on this tea, it was a word that i may or may not have heard before but I had to look it up and it is the “pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather”
Taste like Petrichor? really can you taste a smell? Sure you can, i’m always talking about how one thing taste the way another thing smells, Anyways I’m glad to see this Petrichor word because now I have a new word to use when I try to describe these types of oolongs, the rainy day oolongs,I’m thinking I get the Petrichor from most of these types of teas and thats why they suit me as rainy days teas, I never made that connection before :)

Flavors: Petrichor, Toast

“A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR HELPS THE MEDICINE GO DOWN
So this one is quite Uncommon and interesting…
I’m not sure what to think of Civil Disobedience really I was kinda shocked at the way it tastes…
There is this sore throat spray out there called Chloraseptic, I’m not sure all of you have heard of it before but thats what this tea taste like to me in too many ways.
Really no joke on the very first sip (straight no suga) alls I could taste was straight up Chloraseptic. Interesting because I was actually thinking yuck at first but I couldn’t stop sipping on it for some reason.

Anyways I had to add a little suga to this one because of the medicine taste, and it was a little better, still taste throat spray bit also a smokey tea in there somewhere, a little astringent with some leathery notes. The medicine taste isnt yucky as some medicinal tasting teas but it is still quite bold.

With sugar it actually kinda taste like some type of old fashioned herbal candy or cough drop that you find in an old country store down south, pretty damned good!
With milk it is reminiscent of a chai in some ways I guess it could pass as a mild chai type spiced tea, very smooth and creamy and no astringent but still a strong taste of the throat spray lol

Somehow even tho it really does taste like Chloraseptic it is really tastey, delicious even. Good Tea but the throat spay part is super hard to ignore, I think that taste is from the cardamom or cardamom oil tho So I think I could dig this one, I’d have to think of it as some type of chai I think.
But Really Chloraseptic lol

Flavors: Astringent, Herbaceous, Leather, Medicinal, Smoke

Alora Dannon!! (spelling is off I’m sure)

teataku

Did you know that George Lucas co-wrote a book series that’s a continuation of that story? Elora Dannon grows up, and Willow kind of becomes a traveling hermit/sorceror type. Mad Martigan shows up, too, with whats-her-face.

teataku

And yes, Studio Ghibli. All the yes.

Tommy Toadman

I think the books are “Chronicles of the Shadow War” I want to read them :)
Oh Yes! I love Studio Ghibli films!!

teataku

I do recommend them. They’re a bit slow paced, but well written. :)

This one is pretty damn good!
I am not a big fan of young sheng or any sheng really but I do try to appreciate all kinds of teas, this one is different than most sheng i’ve tried.
this one can brew up nice and dark almost like a shou or aged sheng, it is slightly sweet, smokey and just plain delicious, it will resteep over and over too.
I was impressed with this one because i honestly had no idea that it was going to brew up the way it did.
I may buy a whole cake just to have around because I can surely drink this one with ease :)
Also it has a nice energy, i really enjoy the nice way the energy of this one make me feel.
Thanks Kirk for sending me this sample.
