Another one I tried from the SVTTB, I am transferring my notes over a little at a time. This blend was something I don’t remember ever having, though it looked pretty familiar. When I steeped it I wasn’t expecting much because I haven’t loved many of Adagio’s chocolate teas in the past but this was really good I liked the creme element too. I preferred it as a latte but it was really good plain too. I don’t recommend this one iced.

Flavors: Caramel, Chocolate, Cream, Dark Chocolate, Irish Cream, Sweet

Preparation
Boiling 3 min, 30 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

Another winner from my swap with Cameron! I typically don’t love Christmas blends because too much spice tends to give me headaches. However, what I’ve found with Dammann Freres Christmas blends is that they’re mainly subtly fruity and a bit woody which I love. Even though this is a Christmas/ seasonal blend I think I might grab some for my all-year-round stash ( yes I liked it that much!)

Flavors: Cherry, Fig, Honey, Malt, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Wet wood

Preparation
Boiling 4 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

Their Christmas tea is a bit unusual in that it doesn’t contain any cinnamon or clove! I like it too. :)

This is one of the blends I ended up keeping when I had the #svttb last week. Prior to having the box, I had never tried anything from The NecessiTeas before and I was definitely in for a treat with this blend. With any Creme Brulee blend, I expect three things: rich burnt sugar/ caramel-like flavor, strong cream and vanilla elements, and of course the flavoring to balance well with the tea. This blend delivered tens across the board, the only negative thing I have to say about it is that it contains a bit of sugar which most people don’t mind I just tend not to purchase presweetened blends, this one would be an exception to that rule.

Flavors: Cake, Candy, Caramelized Sugar, Cream, Sweet, Vanilla

Preparation

This is another blend from my swap with Cameron, while this sort of blend is typically my jam, it was not my favorite. I thought it was pretty bland because I like super strong bergamot flavors. It also had a thick film on the top even though it was looseleaf I’m not sure how that happened.

Flavors: Bergamot, Citrus, Floral

Preparation
Boiling 4 min, 30 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

One of my favorite pumpkin tea blends. Although I don’t have many in my stash at the moment Earl Greys are my favorites, this blend is no exception. I love that you can taste the pumpkin, spices ( especially the cardamom), and bergamot equally. It’s a well-balanced blend that I wish was available all year round.

Flavors: Astringent, Bergamot, Cardamom, Earl Grey, Honey, Pastries, Pumpkin, Spices, Sweet

Preparation
Boiling 3 min, 30 sec 3 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

This is one of the many blends that my friend Cameron sent me in our first swap (thank you, Cameron!) Before our swap, I didn’t know that Dammann Freres existed but I haven’t explored many tea companies other than my go-tos. First off, I love the smell of this blend. The scent alone is so comforting and welcoming that I’d steep it just to smell it. Taste-wise, I love this blend! I love figs, Italian Christmas wouldn’t exist without something with figs in it so this blend reminds me of home. I love the subtle fruitiness and sweetness of this blend, I preferred it without any additions.

Flavors: Candy, Cream, Fig, Honey, Strawberry, Sweet, Vanilla, Wood

Ooh so glad to share Dammann with you, they’re my favorite French tea company and one of my faves overall too! Their advent is really good as well, though I’ve already ordered too many others this year… >.<

They have a big range of nontraditional Christmas teas, so fun to try!

Very cozy, I don’t normally love fruity blends but the sweet and malty vanilla notes make it taste more like a pie than straight fruit.

This is a delightful decaf black tea blend, I especially loved the warm, inviting vanilla flavor and aroma. It’s one of the first tea blends I have ever tried ( many moons ago) and it still is a staple in my stash almost twelve years later.

Flavors: Cream, Malt, Marshmallow, Nutty, Vanilla

Preparation
Boiling 3 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

I really enjoy this blend, it’s the perfect blend for a cool and crisp fall morning. It’s nutty, slightly spiced, and comforting with a gentle apple flavor. I especially loved this blend because it’s subtle on the spice, sometimes when blends are over spiced I get headaches so this was a nice balance for me. I’m definitely making this blend a staple in my stash.

Flavors: Apple, Caramel, Cinnamon, Nutty, Spices, Vanilla

Sounds lovely, I love apple cinnamon!

This blend was a definite yes from me, I absolutely loved it! I typically don’t love cherry blends because I usually associate cherry-flavored things with cough syrup. However, I loved it so so so much! This has to be one of my favorite chocolate blends and my new favorite cherry blend.

Flavors: Candy, Cherry, Chocolate, Vanilla

Boiling 3 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

Bio

My name is Gabriella but everyone calls me Gabby! I am a 20-year-old college student living in NY, majoring in History and Elementary Education. In my spare time, I post reviews and little pieces of writing on my blog, read books, play video games, write poetry, and love to cuddle up with my two-year-old hound dog Buddy.
I have interesting tea preferences, to say the least:
Definitely a mood drinker, and I tend to change my preferences often, if I have a bad experience with a specific flavor or tea type I end up avoiding it for a while, then dive back in later. I also prefer my teas plain but will sometimes make lattes.

Flavor Preferences:

Fruit: mainly melon, berry, and apple flavors are my favorites. I’m allergic to pineapple, passionfruit, and kiwi.
Dessert: Almost all flavors dessert-wise are welcome I especially love warm and comforting flavors like caramels, chocolates, cookies/biscuits, crumbles, and muffin.
Floral: I prefer violets, lavender, roses, and mallow flowers. Open to all florals, allergic to dandelions.
Spices: I love lightly spiced blends but some like the infamous Hot Cinnamon Spice is too much for me.
Herbs: My favorites are mint, rosemary, sage, thyme, and sometimes basil.
Favorite Companies:
Harney and Sons
Simpson and Vail
White 2 Tea
Plum Deluxe
Trader Nicks
Friday Afternoon

Tea Rating Guide:
90-100: Top tier/ have to have them!
80-89: Really enjoyed it/ collection staple
70-79: Good, probably won’t drink it too often
60-69: I won’t refuse if offered
50-59: It’s okay
40-49: Probably dumped or handed to my Mom
00-39: No, just no

I love doing swaps and if you’re interested in anything in my cupboard let me know!
