From Teavana

A soothing jasmine bouquet accompanying an intricate Chinese oolong tea. Wonderful for after a meal or in the evening, although this tea does contain some caffeine. Oolong tea is also known as Wu-long tea.

How to Prepare
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to 195-200 degrees and steep for 3-4 minutes. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.

Ingredients:

This tea blends well with:
Sweet Lily White® Tea
Rooibos Rose Garden® Rooibos Tea

From my experience Jasmine Oolong is tough to find, so this one is the only one I’ve tried. It is a very good tea (don’t over steep or it will get bitter/ more jasmine). I really like it as a summer iced tea after some intense yard work. Very refreshing. But I can also drink it hot throughout the day at work. It does have a strong jasmine profile (so make sure you enjoy jasmine) but very tasty especially over time as it grows on you.

Is is a good cup of tea! Slightly too flowery for me, but I would recommend my friends to at least try it!

I love almost any jasmine tea, and I saw this for half off at teavana so I thought I’d try it. It’s my first oolong, and I like it very much, but I don’t have much experience to compare it to. Very floral, and because I love jasmine, that’s great for me!

After the first sip, I wasn’t completely sold on this tea, due to the earthy-ness, but it has really grown on me and has become one of my favorites. I can re steep this 3-4 times without losing much of the beautiful earthy, but fresh jasmine flavor. The tiny tea pellets unfurl into large flat leaves, and so I prefer to use a strainer sitting in my mug, which allows the tea room to transform (relative to tea ball/silk pouches).

The oolong base is slightly vegetal/floral (orchid) but has a bit of sweetness from a light toasty flavour. The jasmine is up front, but very tasty. Floral, smooth, no bitterness at all.

((I’m never on here oops))

I haven’t posted for 3 months now, but I’ve been having tea here and there!
Sipdown day today bc I’m legit getting rid of 90% of my teas!

Ehh any free tea is good tea. Not my fave jasmine.

In other news, the reason why I’m getting rid of my teas is because I’m going to Walt Disney World! I’m very excited :) I got a management position over there (a management internship in food and beverage).
Yeah things have changed in the past three months. I took and passed my level 1 (introductory) sommelier exam for wine, and I got this internship aww yeahh. But it’s kinda stressful bc I really do have to minimize what I bring to Florida D:

Okay that’s it for now. I’ll hopefully have more sipdowns/tasting notes today!

Great to see you back!

I’ve had a Jasmine Green tea before but never a Jasmine Oolong. First off, I love the scent. It smells so good! And the first steep tastes like it smells and is delicious with a little sweetener. I was in Jasmine Tea Heaven. However, the flavor wasn’t the same for the 2nd and 3rd steepings. I really liked trying this tea, but I wouldn’t repurchase since the flavor doesn’t last long enough to justify the price. I’ll buy cheap but good Bigelow Green Tea to get my Jasmine Tea fix. On to the next!

Probably my favorite tea from Teavana (trying to get away from Teavana tea into higher quality stuff online). Does well western style and “grandpa” style…just tossing a bit of it in a thermos and pouring more hot water on it all day. Doesn’t go bitter if oversteeped. I don’t really get much jasmine out of this one, but it is pleasant. Could possibly see myself buying this again as a super cheap oolong for grandpa style when I’m feeling lazy.

My day has been so very stressful. People have just continually came by and pilled up work onto my desk. It is a disaster at this point. I have far too many things to do and not nearly enough time to complete them. Sigh; at least there’s tea.
Currently, this Jasmine oolong is to me a warm blanket on a chilly day. It is helping me keep my irritation in check and enjoy just a small bit of peace during my work day. It is floral and slightly perfume-y in the best possible way. The green oolong flavour balances perfectly with the floral taste .This tea is quite nice both hot and cold brewed as well. The other afternoon I enjoyed a cold brew of this because it was very warm outside. It was such a delight. It is a cuppa lovely when I need it most. Thank heaven for tea.

Sipdown! :)
