78 Tasting Notes
Well I am still making my way through the 12 days of christmas packets… it was hidden in my cupboard so today I pulled this one and I was not really sure I was in the mood for a fruit tea but decided to give it a try.
The smell of the tea was just like it says, nice strawberry and hint of tartness at the end which would be the lemonade. I steeped it very short time since it is a white tea and the taste of the tea is much more flavorful than I thought it would be for a white tea! It had a great strawberry taste and at the end you can taste the lemonade part. i would love to try this one cold because I bet it would be so refreshing in the summer on a hot day! Yum Yum Yum.
Preparation
Well I have to thank JenW for the fact that I am going to have to place an order from Harney’s now… I feel like you are either going to love or hate this tea. It is just like red hots. Literally just like red hots! I like my teas to have a strong flavor if they are flavored so I love this tea, especially since it is snowing here and it looks so cold out and this tea just warms me right up. Now I am wondering if the decaf version of this is any good just because I would love to be able to drink this at night as a dessert tea! This tea is extremely dusty and the liquor is sort of foggy not the best looking but the taste says it all!
Preparation
I was concerned about the decaf tea version……I am having an aversion to most decaf blacks anymore, even my Vanilla Comoro. It just tastes funny. :( I ended up buying the Herbal Hot Cinnamon. While I am not a huge fan of rooibos, the cinnamon totally overpowers it and makes it super good. I really drink it more often than the black.
Thanks so much to JenW for sending me a sample of this… It is so good… I think I may have found my ideal chocolate coconut tea. It smells great and is just really beautiful with the pretty little petals in it.
If you like coconut you must try this tea it is wonderful, the smell is a bit like hot chocolate with coconut. The taste taste is bit more coconut with a nice chocolate after taste, but you can still taste the tea at the end as well! Anyways this is a great tea and thanks again JenW for the tea! This is going on my shopping list and will be buying from them in a bit!
Preparation
Well after reading all the reviews I am glad to see that I wasn’t the only one who thought this tea smelled fruity which is kinda of weird… I sweetened this because that is what I do with all my teas, I was not sure how it was going to turn out but it was pretty pleasant. This is one of the teas that I wanted to try but not buy such a large amount. It does taste like popcorn a bit smokey almost. I get just a hint of butter at the end. I think I may have steeped a bit to long though because the black tea is pretty astringent. I am really glad to try it but it wouldn’t have been something that I would keep around. Nice job though Frank for getting the flavors correct.
Preparation
I received my package from Keenteathyme a while ago but do to school and such just have not been able to drink very much tea… But now that I am on break hopefully I will remedy that. This tea I was not sure I would be in the mood for hot. But I do like to taste all of my teas hot at least once. The smell was a peachy just like I thought it would be with a nice black tea smell as well.
Wow after the steep this tea smells so much like a juicy peach yum! I had to taste it and it tastes just like one as well with just a hint of vanilla to smooth out the tea. It makes for a great dessert tea or just when you are craving something sweet. (which for me is whenever I am done eating anything) :) I did sweeten it since I typically add a bit of rock sugar to all of my teas. This was a big hit for me and I wasn’t sure if I was in the mood at all of for it! I may have to try the last bit of this iced just to see how the flavors are in the iced version! Thanks so much Carolynne for a yummy tea!
Preparation
This smells amazing wow oh wow yummy maple! I could just sniff this all day! Does that make me weird? Anyways, the tea is a very pretty tea with the little yellow petals in it. I brewed this up and was surprised when I smelled the tea again. It was very mild maple with more of a vegetable smell.
The color of the tea is a pale golden color and at first I wasn’t sure if I steeped it long enough because the color was pretty pale. The first tastes of a nice oolong tea with just a hint of maple… hmmm I like my tea to have a bit more flavor but as I have learned with the cheesecake teas from Franks the cheesecake flavoring usually develops when the tea has cooled a bit. I let it cool and the tea is getting more maple flavored. Not to bad, well the last bit of my tea cooled completely and there is the cheesecake flavoring, still not as strong as other blends of franks but it is there! I am really glad I was able to purchase this one, now I may resteep and see what if anything changes in the tea!
I really really didn’t need to buy more tea but when I saw some of the deals that Keenteathyme had I had to get some samples… This tea smells of apples when you open it up. I brewed it up and waited till I had finished my lunch before taking a sip and wow my first sip was straight creaminess. Yum yum yum. The second flavor I get is definitely a bit of apple and it is sweet. The last notes for me are just hints of spiciness that linger on the tongue. I typically don’t like my chai to be too spicy so this one fits the bill perfectly and it is so nice to drink in the fall! I am very impressed!
Preparation
Finally a mate I can handle! This tea smells so good when you open it up… I smell chocolate oh heavenly chocolate and then the raspberries yummmm! You can also smell the mate a bit which to me smells like coffee which I don’t really care for…After I brewed it I still smell the raspberries and the a hint of chocolate.
The first taste I get chocolate, mate, then a hint of raspberry at the end, wow this is really good and I can’t wait for the energy to kick in! It is creamy and so good! As it cools I still smell the raspberry but taste banana oh interesting but I love this tea! I could still have more chocolate in it because there is never enough chocolate but oh well! I think next time I might not steep as long.
