Small sampler tin from when this was a Tea of the Month, I believe. Not really my favourite; I don’t tend to like blends with ginger, although this one is definitely less ginger and more fruit – but precious little, if any, sign of the oolong base.

Whoa!!!!! GINGER!!! No thank you – I don’t need spicy in my fruit oolong. Moving on…

Well, I came across two DTs sample tin boxes, make that three, from who knows when.

Though the base is oolong, I am not feeling the oolong. Mind you, keep in mind that I had been drinking a rather dynamic oolong earlier. This one tastes like more of a rooibos-like stable brown base with a bit of mixed light berry frou-frou on top of the sip with the slightest bit of ginger trailing behind. Sweet, but certainly a reasonable type of sweet with no imitation flavour coming to the fore. A pleasant surprise.

Addendum—after getting through half or more of my cup, I started getting a sour, kind of fizzy, note. Around that time, I began feeling nauseous. Lowering my rating accordingly.

How can such a delicious tea go so wrong?
Everything in this tea I like conceptually. Even kombucha.
However, all the components are so disparate, that it taste’s like a mess.

The most prominent flavors are over ripe strawberry, ginger and stinky kombucha. The result is undrinkable (hot or iced).

There are not many cups of tea I will dump out. This is the 3rd time i have done so (attempted 3 different brewing conditions)

I thought that the smell of this was kind of interesting, nice and fruity, but I wasn’t overly thrilled with the taste. It had some fruity-ish taste but I could not tell which fruit in particular, and there was also a kind of artificial taste which I couldn’t get past.

This one was so good. The aroma is intoxicating. Quite tasty.

My new favourite fruity tea. Kind of like a jube jube only better.

Tea was light yellow?

Smelled great in the store but once I got home it didnt taste so well. Ive tried it several times and cant get behind it. Too strong of a flavor and a terrible terrible aftertaste with this one.

I like this tea hot but not so much iced.

Day #2 of tea!

I have had this one exactly once before today, haha. I picked this one because of the strawberry, though there’s quite a lot going on with the taste. Possibly due to the kombucha, which I’m not a huge fan of. I do like the berry taste, but it got weird as it cooled, so if I were to get this one again, I have to remember to keep it hot.

I’m not really sure how I feel about this. I enjoy the aftertaste, predominantly raspberries and blueberries, but I don’t actually enjoy it when drinking it; it’s a little overly sweet and artificial. Certainly wouldn’t buy again and I’m in no rush to finish the cup I have now. Sad, as I was actually looking forward to trying this one.
