14 Tasting Notes
I’m not rating this tea because I see there is a good amount of people who do enjoy it but for me I’d be dragging that bar all the way down to zero. This tea for me is disgusting, one of the few that I’ve dumped down the drain rather than muscling through it. I find it to smell (and taste) like the restroom soap you find in malls, gas stations and chain restaurants.
Preparation
What a mess! While I had read that using a bag is a good idea with this tea, I didn’t have any and couldn’t wait to try it out so I’ll be dealing with the aftermath of using the infuser that came with my mug when I finish with my tea. I used 2 tsp of this stuff because 1 just looked so measly, and I steeped it for a long time.. not sure how long but it was a while. The taste isn’t too bad, I might leave it to steep a little longer next time, it’s got kind of a cough syrup type aftertaste. Over all it’s not bad, but I don’t think I’ll order it again if they bring it back next year.
Preparation
gotta say, not what I was expecting. This tea is very bland (I always try them black before I try them with anything added). The dry tea has an okay smell, once it’s steeped it smells stale and the taste isn’t much better. there is a slight minty-ness after taking a sip but that’s pretty well it, no real flavor. I did order it while it was in the “fond fairwells” catagory on the site and when I went to look up something today I found that it has vanished from the site all together.
Preparation
so I got this as a free sample from ordering from the David’s Tea site, as soon as I opened it I was amazed by how great it smells, I was hesitant to take this to work with me this morning so I’m having it with dinner, I usually go with something lower on the caffeine scale for after work wind-down but I figured what the heck, normally with something that smells this great I make my husband take a whiff (he kind of hates it), but he just got 2 of his wisdom teeth removed yesterday so I figured I’d take pity on him and leave him be.. anyways, back to the tea.. nice, floral taste to it, got much stronger as it sat/got to the bottom of the cup.. like really strong, almost like chewing on a flower, if I got it as a sample again I wouldn’t hesitate to make it again but I’m not sure this is one I’ll be keeping on hand at all times.
Flavors: Floral
Preparation
not quite what I was expecting, this tea is a little on the flat side, not much taste at all. the smell from the dry leaves was so inviting and wonderfully citrus-y that I was expecting something with a little more bite to it. It’s an okay tea but I don’t think it’s one I’ll buy more of.
