From DAVIDsTEA

How it tastes
Fresh, cool minty flavour and aroma

It’s love at first sip with this organic peppermint tea. Said to stimulate passion and creativity, our peppermint is also fair trade, for great taste and good karma. It’s a naturally fresh, cool and comforting herbal tisane. And though it may be totally caffeine-free, that doesn’t mean it won’t awaken your senses.

What makes it great
• Peppermint tea is a classic remedy for an upset tummy.
• The active ingredient in peppermint is menthol – said to be great for soothing the throat.

Ingredients
Organic peppermint leaves from Oregon and Washington State.

Well, somehow I managed to piss off my stomach, which is unacceptable because we’re making Crockpot honey garlic meatballs for dinner and there is absolutely no way I’m letting my stupid ugly stomach prevent me from enjoying them. So I brewed up a large mug of this tea in the hopes it would calm my stomach down. And it actually did, I think. It tastes like straight-up peppermint leaves and hot water, and there’s not much else to report. I do wonder if I could bring this tea to the next level by adding in some milk and sugar because then it might taste like peppermint milk which actually sounds lovely. Something to consider when I’m not massively pissed off. I am going to craft my future orders so friggin carefully, and not, like, stupidly just buy everything under the sun. God i’m dumb sometimes. would anyone like a gigantic box of tea?

Haha when I first read that you guys wanted the recipe, I thought you meant for peppermint milk tea, and I was like “???” and then I realized it was the meatballs. They came out perfectly. I’m at work right now but I’ll share it when I’m at home. It’s seriously like five ingredients and as delicious as all hell.

OMGsrsly

Woot meatballs! :D

keychange

Oh crap, I’m at work again! I’ll share it on fb tonight though!

You’re gonna be at work by the time you get this again. :D :D

I drink peppermint tea pretty much every day anyway so I picked this up when I was at David’s Tea yesterday. Steeped it longer than recommended because I like strong peppermint tea. It is good and it is good for you. I drink it partially because it has no caffeine. Is it wrong that I brewed this in a Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker and am now drinking it from a David’s Tea Nordic Mug? This is among the best peppermint tea I have ever drank, a winner if there ever was one.

I brewed this once in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 4 tsp leaf and boiling water for 4 min.

I feel that SO many people love this tea! I don’t understand…it’s just peppermint, right? I don’t know why everyone says it’s so incredible if it’s just peppermint. Is it any different really? Or do you just like it because it’s super strong?

AllanK

Actually I drink peppermint tea for stomach problems but this one was better then most peppermint.

Ohh okay. That makes sense!

I used to drink peppermint tea everyday too just because I loved the taste, although I do like it for settling the stomach too. I haven’t had any in quite awhile and have never had this one from davids – I’m going to pick some up next time as it sounds like a good one!

I drink peppermint almost every day too. I was getting some herbs and doing my own blend of peppermint and spearmint but went through that. I now have some from Tealux that I haven’t tried yet but the price was even better than me doing my own blend.

Peppermint for me has a time and a place—Christmas and usually covered in chocolate. That being said, tonight I wanted something new but knew I really should stick to herbals or sacrifice any idea of sleep; that left me with this. I almost wish the peppermint was stronger in this. It’s heavy after the sip, but while the tea is in my mouth it’s much more toned down. In general it’s like chewing on a mint leaf rather than the icy intensity I normally associate with peppermint. I am enjoying the fresh aftertaste of this though. Having no other experience with peppermint tea, I’ll say this is good for what it is. I guess peppermint tea just isn’t my thing.

Made iced, for the ridiculously hot weather today.

Was it minty? Yep!

Was it refreshing? Definitely.

Does anything else come to mind? Nope…not really. But mint is one of those things that’s always good to have on hand. Thanks beelicious for the sample!

Day 17 of the advent calendar. I love peppermint tea. Whenever I’m having tummy troubles, it always helps to settle my stomach. This tea has a nice minty flavour that tastes slightly sweet to me. Plain peppermint tea of any brand has never failed me yet.

You really can’t expect anything else from a peppermint tea but straight up peppermint, and thats exactly what you get. It was tasty and minty, and there wasn’t anything else to it to make it bitter or gross.

First tasting note! I’ve been reading so much on this site lately that I thought it was finally time to make an account.

I got this one as day 17 of my David’s Tea advent calendar, and it came at the right time. My stomach is feeling just awful after eating way too much junk food last night. It was nice to have something that wasn’t sweet or caffeinated. I’m not usually a huge mint fan, but it was appropriate for this morning. As others have noted, the mint is quite strong, so I’d only recommend it to people who really enjoy the slight burn.

I don’t mind this one. It’s not a favourite that I’d go out and buy more of, but it was perfectly enjoyable.

I still haven’t found a way to enjoy this tea. I could only take a couple sips of it without anything, and I don’t know what to add to it without ruining the taste of the tea. If you have any suggestions, I’d appreciate it. I’d hate to throw out my bag of it.
