184 Tasting Notes
Decided on this tea this morning. I am just falling down tired. Stayed up til 1:30 on the weekend, up till 11 last night working on a paper, and in work at 6 am. So, I need a tea with a strong (and hopefully, caffeinated) black base.
This tea tastes better hot. It’s cooling down now, so it tastes different. I think the flavors are clearer when the tea is hot. I like it, but not sure I’d buy it again.
Preparation
I get paid tomorrow, and I WILL be buying more of this tea! You hear me, Frank??
I LOVE chai. Sometimes, it has different flavors in it too, and that’s fine, but I like really spicy chai. Oh my gosh, this is leaving a bit of heat on the tongue (I’m in the Phoenix area, and have gotten used to more heat in my food than before I moved here). I really like the spiciness of the tea. It has some heat, but not too much. That’s good…I prefer spice over heat, but it needs SOME.
Very good tea…a nice strong chai that does wake me up!
Edit: Resteeping done at 4 minutes. Not as strong, but still really good.
Preparation
It’s good! I just ordered 4 of them…one will go into a basket that will be auctioned off for Ronald McDonald House here in Phoenix, but the other 3 are coming to me!
BTW…the packet came without a label. I just want to make sure that the ones I get in the order I just placed have a label.
Haven’t tried this in a while, but it’s like a nice friend to come back to. I wanted something without caffeine, since I am having my health tests done this morning for work (what a pain in the you-know-what). I always like this tea…it’s gentle, but still flavorful.
It’s also very forgiving…I don’t know how long I let it steep, but it was longer than my normal 4 minutes.
Preparation
It’s starting to be chilly in the mornings (although still warming up in the afternoon), and I thought this tea would hit the spot. I guess I haven’t rated it before, but this is hardly my first time drinking it. I’ve discovered over time that I’m not the biggest rooibos fan, but there is enough in this tea to cover the base. I do like the fruity and coconut of the tea…a nice pick-me-up, although there’s no caffeine.
Preparation
It just didn’t do it for me. I tried the tea, put it on for 3:30…but it just didn’t taste chocolatey or toffee. I thought it just tasted…stale. The aftertaste was a lot better, so I’m wondering if I put it on for a bit longer, it would perk up. Otherwise, this wasn’t really tasting very good to me.
