1598 Tasting Notes
Thanks Sil for sharing this with me. Someone must have had a particularly mouth-watering review because it was on my wishlist.
So my first cup of this was knocked over by the child and spilled all over my computer desk. Thankfully both laptops were saved! Yikes. There are seriously 2 safe spots in the entire house – she can reach everything!!!
My second cup is much better; I could drink it! It’s sweet and smokey and just a little bitter. I’ll have to try a lower temperature for the last bit, but I enjoyed trying this!
Thanks again!
I had a cup of this today and it was good but not as good as TRIPLE CHOCOLATE should be. Maybe it’s just me. I sent the last of it off to Shadowfall for a second opinion. :)
Agreed! This is what Triple Chocolate should be like (if I’m in Sweden, this is the birthday cake I ask for): http://shop.textalk.se/se/article.php?id=29794&art=17419370
It tastes even better than it looks – now we have to find a tea to match, though. Cavo, are you Triple Choc Tea Odyssey team leader?
Wait, you want me to find the best triple chocolately things I can find? Haha. sounds like the BEST job.
Thanks Sil! I’ve enjoyed so many flavoured teas from Lupicia, but I hadn’t actually considered try their straight teas. I’m happy for the chance to now!
It tastes like bread and honey! Wow. That’s actually the best tea I could have grabbed for breakfast! It’s also an easier tea to drink- less kicking me in the face with boldness etc. As it cool, it becomes a little bitter, but it’s still very tasty. I just better finish it up quickly!
Thank you Sil! This was a really great assam to start my day with. It was slightly tangy and sharp, but evened out into sweetness and fruit. It’s a very easy cup to drink; I’m really enjoying it, and would consider placing an order some time!

drink your other teas whatshesaid! haha but yes.. it’s a nice deal for trying out taiwanese teas to see if you like them
Sil knows I’m experimenting with unflavoured teas, so she’s been super helpful sending me tons of teas to experiment with. Thank you! :D (219)
This was a nice assam – slightly malty, with a little bit of tobacco – but oh, so smooth. I didn’t even need to add milk or anything to it! I need to drink a few more of my loose samples down, and then it’s time to dive into my Lord Petersham bag!
