1598 Tasting Notes
Thanks VariaTEA! (180)
So apparently cinnamon and rose go together quite nicely! And I’m getting apple from this somehow, so it reminds me of apple pie! I’m happy I got to try this, but I doubt I’d ever get more as it’s not something I’d crave too often. Still – yum!
THIS is how you start your day. :) Thanks Sil!
When I took my first sip, I thought this was struck by how different it was from my other TTC tea – Sun Moon Lake 147. This was darker, thicker, and reminded me somewhat of Teavivre’s Bailin Gong Fu tea. With subsequent sips and I can taste fruit like apricot or peach. It smells malty and delicious too. After reading the description, I was able to pick up on the cinnamon notes, but the menthol has eluded me. That’s ok. :)
I’m currently rating this at 80 because it’s really good, but not quite at the point where I’ll be daydreaming about it later. At least, I haven’t yet. :P
Thanks 221tea! I didn’t really expect to like this as much as I did, but I’m going to have to restock this! Also, I LOVE, LOVE LOVE that it comes in a dinosaur tin. Yes. This is going to go to my daughter in my next (eventual) Adagio order. I actually cold-steeped this for nearly 24 hours and it was just tasty and great. Fruity and sweet and rich. I think I’m getting mostly cherry out of this too. It was good iced, and hot – I tried both today. :O

Last sipdown for tonight! (unless I’m up to 3am again?) (186)
Thank you Sil!
I’m with you on this one. It’s sorta meh. I get light black tea notes and rose. Mostly rose. I get the impression that this one is mostly scented, instead of flavoured. Still, I’m happy I got to try it! :D
Sipdown! I finished this off, while TK finished off Metropolitan Tea Company’s Kid’s Bumble Fruit, and now I’m back at 183. Woo!
It’s funny – I hadn’t rated this on my spreadsheet and wasn’t sure what to put it at but then decided on 80. I log on here and I’d already decided that months previously! So, I’m consistent! :D
So good! This is SO GOOD. Thank you Sil for introducing me to all the best teas! :D
This one is awesome! I was also introduced to it by lovely Sil. I remember it being very similar to PTA but maybe not as fruity.
Tea tiff – these teas are similar in profile to PTA, but different enough that I have various in my cupboard along with PTA….it’ll come down to preference mostly I think. Nice thing is that TTC does 25 g samples with free shipping if you spend at least 25g on just samples
This & 154 & 200- something were my favs from TTC.
Very different from PTA, IMO, these are much fruitier.
Thank you Sil for sharing this with me! I steeped it for 4 minutes and that seemed to be the right way to do it. This tea is a mild chai, with hints of orange and vanilla. I wonder if I should have steeped it even longer? It’s nice, with a bit of punch but Amy could definitely be punchier. :P Maybe Rory mellowed her out a bit?
And with this cup done, I am at 186! (and as Sil would like to point out, with all my incoming orders I’m more like 208), but that’s ok. I’m topped up on Butiki, WP, RiverTea, Adagio, A&D, TTC etc so I can’t see how anyone else could tempt me with a sale now! issues you a challenging stare
my cupboard wants to be at least as skinny as yours is right now… at this rate though i’ll be lucky to hit 200 this weekend. I’m having tea apathy lol
Awww. You’re pushing yourself too hard! Sit back with a few favorites and don’t worry about your #’s for a few days? You can still probably hit 185 for the end of the month!
That’s going to inadvertently happen, with painting and stuff this weekend, always means less time for tea. I’d like to at least get to 200 this weekend, though with the river teas being picked up, dunno if that will happen.
