1598 Tasting Notes
Thanks VariaTEA! I’m really excited to try this because I’d heard so much about it and was so curious. And I really like it! It reminds me of Lupicia’s Orzo, but it’s not quite as rich and coffee-like. It’s just a nice warm barley tea. So comforting for the end of the day!
Thanks *VariaTEA! (165)
It smells like grape and it tastes like grape and I like it! Yay! It’s a little bitter as it cools though so I need to be careful to drink it quicker next time!
Sipdown! 166
Thank you Sil! This is so good! It really reminds me of Special Dark, but that just might be because it’s a nice puerh with lots of chocolate notes, and it doesn’t make me think of dirt. I can’t remember what makes the other one different, but I do know that I am enjoying this one. Yay for good puerh!
i still struggle with that. mostly i have “stuff i like” and “stuff don’t” but don’t ask me to tell you why lol
There’s where ranking tea can get really difficult. :P That’s why I like having a repurchase (Y/M/N) column on my spreadsheet! Sums it up nice and easy!
I have one of those too, Cavo. And then the Y’s also get letter grades reflecting how much I liked them at the time, as well as notes describing the flavour. I still wish I could DL Steepster infos into a CSV file…
I spent the last few days reading this awesome domestic!Dean fic that is so slow burn that it takes about 10 hours of reading before you get a kiss, but it’s still warm and fuzzy and full of happily ever afters. (http://miss-annthropic.livejournal.com/85169.html) Spoilers? :P Whatever. The Winchesters deserve happiness.
I drank this tea to celebrate how happy I was with that story, and it brewed up pretty decently today. I mostly taste caramel today!
Yeah, I’m not sure what I was thinking with this. It really tasted like 90% honey, with a little bit of green tea syrup mixeed in ice. Which is ok, if that’s what you like, but I don’t need all that sugar and honey. Now I know for sure!
TK and I enjoyed this with dinner – I steeped it hot, then dumped it into our travel mugs and we wandered outside to enjoy it. And we did enjoy it! It was creamy orange vanilla – I mean – how can you not like that? Unless you don’t like orange…
It still tastes a little like rooibos but overall it’s really quite nice. I’d probably want more of this for enjoying in the summer!
Sipdown! Saddest sipdown!
I drank this last night, and again today and it was really disappointing. It was ok, but it was more like a 75 than a 96. What’s going on with me and my precious Nina’s Japon? :|
Also, if anyone wants to listen to a playlist that’ll get them moving around (great for cleaning your house), this is what we listend to while we painted the shop today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKgKmMLH8yk#t=238
I found that with my last cup. I think I need to take a wee break from this tea and come back to it in a month or so.
Sorry. I’m not sure if Shmiracles or VariaTEA sent me this because both have sent me a ton of Adagio teas, and BOTH have reviewed this. Huh. Sorry? But thank you to whoever it was. This tea is actually really great. Really great! i didn’t expect much, but it’s light and creamy, and minty and just delightful. I think I can actually taste the barky notes in the white tea and that grounds it a little bit, but it’s nice and sweet!
And I really need to watch Rise of the Guardians. That’s a good reminder! (168)
Ahh this is one of my favourite Adagio blends! Running low, and definitely will restock :)
((running low of this tea also means that all the snowbud is gone and I’m left with peppermint and cream. Dang.))
Fun fact: we’re all drinking from the same Jack Frost package haha. I sent quite a bit to both, and looks like they’re passing the torch! Glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
I may have given you a tiny bit but I am not sure. I used to put all the info into my spreadsheet but I stopped adding to that months ago so now I have no way of tracking who I send what to. Either way, I am glad you enjoyed the tea. This is one I would actually consider grabbing from Adagio. Thank you jump62359 for introducing me to it.
Yep. This tastes bitter to me too. I don’t dig it so I’m dumping the last half out of my cup and filling it up with Whispering Pine’s North Winds! (which was waiting in reserve in my timolino!)
Thanks Sil for letting me try it out! It sounded like it SHOULD be good.

I read two different Destiel stories today called "Shut Up (Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is) which is sorta an odd thing. but maybe they were both based on a prompt because they were both stories about Dean & Cas waking up in Vegas married. The first was short, predicatable and boring, while the second was supposed to be PWP but turned out to be 99% fluff. It was so adorable.
And so, with that in mind, I had to drink Destiel tea!
