1598 Tasting Notes
Thanks Dexter for sending me a sample of this. I brewed it warm because I’m a sucker for punishment but I’ll ice the last little bit later. This is such a lovely tea. It’s really delicious and juicy.
To be honest though, I can’t remember what the difference is between this and the melon oolong, but with the oolong I can worry less about using hot water. I’m happy I was able to try this though! :D
Oh man, this is so strong! I ended up adding milk to it just so I could sip away at it, and it tastes like smoke, and ash, and dark black tea. I was ready to fall asleep so we’ll see how zippy this makes me!
Then it’s time for Orange is the New Black!
Thanks Sil! 225!!!
Sipdown! (226)
Thank you to 221tea for sending some of this on! I don’t crave green teas enough, but I finally sat down with this and quite enjoyed it. I’m getting cherry notes, and buttery spinach in the green and it’s balanced nice and now it’s gone. :O So, thank you! That’s always a good sign.
Thanks Sil for this one. I wonder if I overleafed it or oversteep it. It’s strong and a little bitter. That doesn’t sound like Martha. Martha is so kickass.
I wish she wasn’t so doe-eyed about the Doctor but I love that she became such a badass and moved on to live her own life instead of being in his shadow…
Glad I got to try this one. The caramel is a nice touch. Not my favourite fandom blend, but… they’re really hard to make good. I g ot something salty in the base too. Or maybe I’m just more attuned to some kind of salt taste because my oolong yesterday was also super salty. :O
Yay! This is the first of the Victoria’s teas that I really enjoyed. (232) Thanks VariaTEA It was sweet raspberry and fruit and I fnished the entire cup with dinner before I had a chance to properly log it. But it was good. :)
Thank you Sil for the tea you’ve so delightful and accurately described as looking like rabbit turds. (233)
Well, believe it or not I actually enjoyed it. It was a dark and roasty oolong and the ginger was strong but not overwhelming. The roasty/ginger was actually a pretty good combo.
I’m happy I tried it, but I doubt I’d buy it. I’m not that much a fan of ginger.
