1598 Tasting Notes
I bought this on a terrible whim at Winners. I remember they had fancy french teas but I forgot to look, and was already in the check-out line. And so I was determined that IF I saw tea I would buy it because it would be awesome.
But it wasn’t awesome French tea. It was silly Keep Calm tea. And bagged.
But it was $4 and it tastes ok. Now I have a silly tin.

Thank you JustJames for this sample! I read your review, and I have to say that your wife is missing out, although I can see why it would make a great perfume.
Each sip is like a mouthful of fruit. It’s delicate though, so I couldn’t immediately identify it as strawberry. I find that as it cools slightly (my colour changing mug is still at full colour) that the tartness from the rhubarb makes an appearance at the end of the sip. I feel like a dash of sugar would probably bring that out more, but I’m enjoying this so much I don’t really want to mess around.
I have a feeling that this is a tea that will hover around in the back of my mind for months, much like TARDIS did, until I finally break down and get my hands on more. :P

Well I have 6 oz. Also. It’s REALLY Difficult for Canadians to acquire bc of Adagio ’s ridiculous $35 shipping fees.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? well, to be fair i paid at least that much for shipping from france. ooof. i believe the technical term for that is a shipping cougar.
Yeah, but your teas from France are…. special? exquisite! Adagio is good, but NOT worth the price. I had someone on Steepster buy it and ship it to me for $10. :) I’m sure you could arrange that if you feel in love with it.
Jardin Bleu is strawberry?! I had not actually realized that. Moving it up to the top of my list for tomorrow. :)
I’m still here guys, don’t worry. I’ve just retreated into mostly-lurker mode without even realizing, partly because we’ve had company for the last week (and until next Monday), and partly because I don’t have as much free time as I’m used to.
This is a great cup. I LOVE IT. Also, I love that the baby loves it. We’re going for a walk tomorrow and I plan to put that in her cup so she has something warm to sip on.

:P Hopefully it’s not too cold. I really need to buy winterwear for myself and the kiddo. We’re still wearing hoodies, but I’ll probably break down and go shopping soon.

Winners here at least has a lot of North Face and Merrell down in stock. You might actually have really good luck there.

And depending on your foot size, check the men’s boots. I’m about a 9 women’s, 7.5 men’s. They had more “for snow” style boots for guys. Which is ridiculous.
Terri sent me these a few months ago, but for whatever reason, I haven’t tried them until now. :O I feel like I should be ashamed of myself or something for waiting!
I brewed these up without instructions as my computer wasn’t on yet, but I guessed that 4 pearls in 8 oz at 3 min would be ok. And it’s definitely ok. This tea is rich and malty, and just a touch sweet. I’m waiting for it to cool a bit more so that more notes will pop out.

I liked this one but won’t bother getting anymore of it due to how heavy it is and expensive. I had 32g and got 3 cups from it. I’m glad I tried it, but it’s time to move on!

I love that the base is PTA, and I can definitely taste the coconut, toffee and caramel. It’s like a more complicated and grown-up Caramel Vanilla Assam. I would stock up on this IN A HEARTBEAT.
It’s buttery, and light, and the flavours are dancing on my tongue. :) Even as it cools to room temperature, it tastes amazing!
Bonus points for the Doctor Who reference. I have to say, I wasn’t immediately impressed by River when we met her with 10, until the end of Forest of the Dead. She just seemed too cocky and bold, and what was she to MY Doctor? :P But she just got better and better. I got this Paddington bear suitcase tea tin this past summer at winners, just for the tin. The tea inside was just “meh” but yay for cute packaging!
