1598 Tasting Notes
I had this yesterday without milk and it was a nice slightly sweet black, but when I added milk to it today it turned into creamy strawberry/fruit tea! Oh, wow. That was surprising!

It seems like a LOT of Lupicia’s blacks are INSANE with milk. I’m going to make it my mission to learn all about it this fall.
Milk tea is HUGE in Japan, so many of their teas (including a strawberry and vanilla green tea with matcha) are good with milk. I really like them.
This was my requested sample from my last Butiki order. Yay: Three Friends!
I find that I do still enjoy this tea but it’s also so subtle and generally I want more chocolate in my face, or I want something less chocolatey. This is an odd middle flavour level and I’m not sure that I’d crave this one often enough to purchase it.
I don’t think. It’s really tasty though. I’m happy I requested it as a sample. I imagine I’ll buy an oz of it someday.
VariaTEA dropped this and a giant bag full of all the other teas I bought in group orders, as well as generous samples from both her AND Sil and I am in total tea heaven! I don’t even care that I’m back over 250 teas. There’s just so much good stuff here and I have ZERO temptation to buy more. It’s a good place to be.
This was the first one I had to try of the new ones, and it was just as amazing as I remembered from before. So incredibly good. I put the leftover leaves in the fridge and cold-steeped them so I’ll see how that turns out when I get home tonight!
This is mostly coconut and cocoa and sweetness and I’m ok with that. It’s not the fanciest tea. But it’s relaxing and this feels like a treat.
So much coconut.
I find that coconut in tea makes me think of warm butter. Odd, but tasty.

This is an odd tea but I like it. I was happy to try another cup of it when MissB offered to share some of her teas! Thank you!

This was one I bought on impulse a few weeks back because I was curious. And it was Mothers day. :P
And this is a strange one! It’s mostly ginger and cinnamon, with a bit of fruit, and then a lingering coolness at the end of the ship from the licorice. So odd. But not bad? I’m enjoying it, and I won’t mind finishing the rest of this 20g pack.
Would I buy more? Meh. Now that my curiosity has been sated, I’m ready to move on!

Ok, total noob question here: Where can you see how many tasting notes you’ve posted? I know I can find out if I click on a tea that I’ve reviewed and then search for my review (which is usually way way buried). But I was wondering if there was an easier way?

Anyway I’ve lowered the rating on this. The first time I made it it was amazing, but I’ve never been able to replicate that amazingness and it’s too expensive a tea to mess around with.

Preparation
Monday… :|
Monday means that I brought some of this to work just so I could have it for my morning tea, and because it’s Monday (and morning at that!) I ended up dumping it all over the floor. Whatever. I’ll risk it and drink it anyway! #badasseryachieved

And Terri – that’s so true. Sadly it’s probably not my last time rescuing spilled tea.
When I got my first order from A & D, I dropped the double knit canister & the lid popped off, spilling about a third of it’s contents. I scooped it back up into a different container, & Ms Theresa made a rule that we had to drink it before we could start drinking out of the tin. :)
The way I look at it, you’re going to pour boiling water on it, so most bacteria it could pick up will be neutralized. But I agree Terri, I don’t contaminate my main stock with tea that’s been on the floor!
