467 Tasting Notes
This tea saved my day. Thanks NayLynn and Brandon! I swear I tried 5 different tea samples today and nothing hit the spot at all. I think some of the samples have gotten old and they just were off. I then decided I had to have a “happy” tea, something to make me smile. And this was perfect. :)
Today at Weight Watchers the scale showed me up a pound :( so I have to really push myself to have my lovely dessert teas instead of all the seasonal treats. It’s so hard….. I know a pound isn’t much but I don’t want to let it start going up after finally reaching my goal. I lost more than forty pounds and cookies are not going to tell me what to do!!!
From the Santa Claus TTB. Thanks Veronica for the generous portion of this tea!
I’m not sure how much pumpkin I taste but the lack of that doesn’t interfere with a lovely touch pumpkin spice and the creaminess. Yummy! The rooibos doesn’t have too much of the often woodsy flavor that can sneak in and interfere with the tea.
This is a very nice tea and just what I needed this afternoon (another gloomy Dec. day… I think it is about 14 days in a row).
Gentle apple flavor and aroma. I can’t really taste the caramel. Cinnamon is very mild which I appreciate since I seem to be having trouble with cinnamon coming on too strong. Not one I’d buy but not one to toss out. I have enough for several more cups which is nice.
There were no brewing instructions on the Teasy site.
Thanks Christeana1!
Thanks FlyAwayBirdie for a chance to try this. This is a very nice dessert tea with a lovely floral vanilla flavor. Very relaxing especially when you’re needing de-caf. Don’t let it cool off too much because the rooibos starts getting a bit medicinal/woodsy tasting overwhelming the vanilla and floral flavoring.
I got this lovely tea from Megan in the Santea Claus TTB. This is such a nice relaxing tea. Banana, caramel and coconut. Mmmmm…! Good! The only bad thing is that Stacy/Butiki is closing and I will miss her teas a lot!
I majorly stocked up on this one during Butiki’s Black Friday sale! It’s a bit of a splurge, but SO good!
The first couple sips were very good but after that it lost its flavor. I was a little leery when I saw lavender in the ingredients. However, the lavender is more subtle. It’s there but doesn’t overwhelm or seem perfume-y. It’s gentle and soothing. I can’t rate it too high because, as I said, it seemed to loose a lot of flavor very quickly.
Mmmmm…. Yummmmy! Now you may wonder am I referring to Mal (from Firefly) or the tea. Ok, sort of both. The tea is smooth and lovely with a gentle touch of chocolate. I have really begun to enjoy genmaichas lately. The rice is really an interesting addition to the tea. It is interesting that adding the rice was a cheap way to extend the tea leaves for the less well off. Now it’s valued for its unique flavor. Anyway it’s a good tea and I wish I had it in my cupboard.
Really loving the caffeine-free option tonight. I really wanted to have the feel of candy and this is working. The mint is good, it could have used a bit more chocolate flavor IMHO. A nice tea, relaxing and smooth.
Flavors: Chocolate, Peppermint
Well, not as interesting as I had hoped. It seemed heavy on the cinnamon compared to snickerdoodles that I’ve had. Even though it was heavily leafed it still seemed like a weak chai.
I expected better :(
Flavors: Cinnamon
Have you tried it with milk? It makes it taste sooo much better to me. Calms down the cinnamon a bit and replaces it with creaminess..
I’ve never had this and my comment is pretty much useless, but I’m making snuckerdoodle cookies right now! Mrs. Sigg’s Recipe:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
How were they, Nightshifter? I have all the ingredients except butter (I usually sub margarine), and am debating making cookies…
You can do it!! :D
You know know, it could be water retention. Just keep going! I know, I can get really discouraged when I put so much into weight loss and you plateau or even gain when you’re trying so hard, but it’s all about the willpower.
Willpower? What’s that? ;-p
Thanks!
Haha yeah, sometimes the willpower tank is running on low, especially when you’re at it for so long. :)
