467 Tasting Notes
Well, I know why I didn’t review/enter this tea before… I can’t find out anything about it. I spent so long searching that the tea has gotten cold.
It’s a nice tasting vanilla black. Very smooth. It has a nice mouth-filling taste throughout the whole sip.
Quite a nice tea but I have to stop buying so many black teas!. I’ve become more sensitive to caffeine and can’t keep drinking it later in the day. :-( It’s just that I like them so much lately!!
Flavors: Vanilla
I am still loving this tea!
The problem is I am already running out because I’m drinking it so much. I think I’m drinking it just to be able to eat the brazil nuts after steeping. They are mostly full or half size nuts.Brazil nuts are my favorite nut. I’m pretending that there are no calories in the nuts because it’s a tea. I’ve been resteeping 2x’s . (It is always interesting to see what autocorrect does with resteeping: resetting, stepping, etc.) NayLynn sent me some tea with a sample of Brazillionaire . Yea! I am a lucky girl!
Another of my Small Business Saturday purchases.
Tummy is feeling a little wonky tonight. The mint and jasmine blend so well with the gunpowder green. Oh lovely!!
I bought this tin (3 oz.) to share with a few others but I may have to reconsider… do I really love my daughters? Do they deserve this good of a tea? Well… we will have to stay in suspense until closer to the holidays. Mwa ha ha! (How do you spell an evil laugh?)
Flavors: Jasmine, Peppermint
I think this tea has died. I see that I gave it an 85 but it has dropped probably to about 75. I’m sure it’s my fault by I’m not tasting the chestnut anymore so it’s just not much of anything special. :(
Note to self – Don’t let your teas get old. :(
OMG! This tea has the biggest pieces of brazil nuts you can imagine! The slivers of coconut are huge. This tea has a wonderful nutty, buttery, coconut taste that hit the spot. I’m upset I only bought 2 oz.
The only problem is spooning it with such big pieces. I had to weigh it out and still had trouble because of the huge nuts. I ended up taking the nuts off the scale and measuring and then adding them into the basket. The only other problem was resisting eating the nuts before brewing. ;-p I did eat them after doing a reset which was still very good.
This is one I will be keeping in my cupboard!
Flavors: Caramel, Coconut, Creamy, Nuts
I was SO close to picking this one up in my Davids Order the other day…but I feel like I already spent more than enough money on tea this weekend. xD But this tasting note makes me even more eager to try!
I’m really loving this tea! (I love Amy Pond, too!) Nice bright chai with some lovely fruity flavors. I’ve gotten leery of cinnamon lately so I was a little worried about this one today. But … no problem.
This was a tea left from last Christmas and I was worried but luckily the flavors held true and I’m a happy girl.
I’m taking down fall decor and putting up Christmas decorations. I wonder how many calories that burns? Thank goodness for a cup of tea! :DAnother Doctor Who fandom tea. I love River Song! Unfortunately I think this tea has lost its flavor. It’s from last Christmas, so I probably waited too long. I saw that I gave it a 95 last time but I don’t think I’ll rate it this time. I’m not tasting the bergamot or lemon at all. :(
I have some other DW teas from last Christmas. I hope they all haven’t gone flat. (?)
I went to SereneTeaz yesterday for Small Business Saturday. I got some of this based on the scent. Love coffee, love creaminess, love chocolate , what could go wrong. Nothing! This is wonderful! I added a bit of stevia. Flavors meld well and give all the good things about a nice latte without the calories. Obviously its not going to be as creamy as a real latte, but it comes close.
It is a lot like JavaMate by Teavana without the mate. I tend to go overboard on mates (I REALLY LOVE THEM) so cutting back the caffeine a bit is good for me. It’s also cheaper than the Teavana version.
Flavors: Chocolate, Coffee, Cream
Preparation
Dry scent seems primarily the green tea with mild roasted rice. Lovely light golden liquor. Aroma has a stronger genmaicha than I expected from the dry scent (yea!) The roasted rice gives a very pleasant sweetness to the tea. I would love to keep this in the cupboard! Great relaxing after dinner cuppa.
Thanks Bird Pick Tea and Herb for this lovely and generous sample.
Flavors: Toasted Rice
Preparation
This is a rather mediocre holiday blend. The cinnamon, almond and cardamom are pretty traditional in a holiday blend, the addition of sandalwood is interesting but doesn’t do much for the flavor. Nothing really wrong with it but nothing to rush out and buy. They had these in a sampler pack in the store and looked very cute. I just got an individual package of 50 grams. Glad I just got the 50 grams. The staff in the store were terrific and gave me smaller samples of a bunch of teas to take home after I talked about Steepster. Tea shop employees are always really impressed by Steepster. :)
