467 Tasting Notes
I have been sooooooo good for about the last year and have actually drunk allllllll of my tea! I haven’t been posting since I was drinking the same teas over and over and over. (Which I have enjoyed a lot.) I haven’t bought any new teas in like a million years. I really had a lot of my favorites as well as a lot of sample sizes. I wanted to use them before they went stale. I have set aside time tomorrow to go tea shopping. Whoopie!
The pu erh hazelberry which I fixed as a cold brew is the last thing I have. I used some vanilla stevia drops as a sweetener. I re-steeped this tea and it kept the flavor. It was a lovely drink with lots of " hazelberry" (what is hazelberry? I figure just a combo of hazel and berry).
Flavors: Cocoa, Hazelnut, Strawberry
I haven’t had this tea in an awfully long time! I’ve been a good girl and not buying any teas till I’m down to 40. Well, I finally made it… just in time for Christmas. I bought 9 teas today to share with my daughters. I just couldn’t wait.
This tea is a little less amaretto flavored than I remember. It is still very tasty and it is
always nice to have a nice relaxing chocolate tea with no caffeine. Very enjoyable. Resteeps well.
This tea is from the gift shop at Biltmore Village in Asheville, NC. I didn’t really expect much from a ‘gift shop’ tea. I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. It has a nice orange pekoe base with blackberry leaves and fruit. The scent is blueberry but not over the top. I like flavored teas but have gotten tired of some of the really artificial tasting flavorings. This one works for me.
The tin has 3 oz. and I think I’ll share some with my daughters and then I’ll be able to drink it up over the next few months. It seems like a nice everyday kind of tea. Not terribly exciting but seems like it’ll be a nice consistent.
I’ve had a tough time on vacations buying too much tea, so I’m really proud of buying only 1 tin of tea. 2 years ago I brought 27 kinds of tea… some were individual tea bags but still 27! Last year I spent $95 at one tea shop. So yeah for restraint! :)

From the Here’s Hoping TTB…
Sounds good and it is good. I’m not saying it tastes natural but who would think Strawberry Sundae would have a ‘natural’ flavor. The flavor is reminiscent of the sundaes I had as a child. I wish I had more but I am enjoying what I have of it. The fall weather has changed again and it feels like end of summer instead of mid-Oct. Lovely! Perfect for sitting out on the deck and drinking tea. :)
Flavors: Chocolate, Strawberry
This tea is about what i expected… pretty good. I have given up on some of the expectations I have when it says words like ‘Crisp" or “cobbler”. The flavor is good solid black tea with the fruitiness of peach and apple. I didn’t sense hibiscus which is good since I don’t enjoy hibiscus very much. The fruit flavors could have been a bit stronger but it remains a pleasant tea.
I wasn’t really in the mood for caramel but this has been sitting and calling to me. The dry leaf had a candy scent to it and did not appeal to me. But I moved ahead and made the tea any ways. Now the aroma changed to a lovely smooth caramel. The taste is lovely black tea with a smooth caramel. This was a total surprise as I didn’t really expect to like it but I am totally won over. I wish I had more. I tried a resteep and it was ok. Not really as good as the first steep.
I wa on vacation so I brought a bunch of teabags/sachets with me. Lemon myrtle is one of my absolute favorite scents so i knew I had to try it. This was a lovely surprise. The ginger is well balanced with the lemon myrtle. The tea was refreshing and I could see it working well when feeling under the weather. I got 3 steeps out of it. Yeah!
I found some of this in the Here’s Hoping TTB! Yippie!! This is one of my favorites! David’s Teas seems to have discontinued it so I am thrilled to find some more. I’m standing by my previous 95 rating. Still delicious, especially if you love Brazil nuts like I do. Also, a lot fewer calories than actually eating brazil nuts.
I’m drinking a ton of tea from the Here’s Hoping TTB today. Unfortunately, my computer was out of commission for most of the day. I wrote really cryptic notes to myself… heaven only knows what I meant. I really have to stop telling myself that I’l remember what I was thinking. For this tea I wrote 75. ???? I remember appreciating the lift of energy from the guarana. The chai mix of spices must have been OK with out anything really outstandingly good or bad.
Welcome back!
