This is just okay. I’ve realized that I really prefer these type of chai/spice blends with milk or as a latte. Straight without sweetener, just not a huge fan. This blend is also really saffron dominant, it actually overwhelms most of the spices. Aa touch of clove, but not much cinnamon.

Much like most of the other unblended Adagio teas I’ve tried, this is just boring. Maybe slightly floral, but overall a touch muddled and blah tasting.

Teo Cabanel primarily makes fragrances, but they also make 3 teas as direct partners to some of those fragrances. I placed an order for their perfume sample set and had to add this on to try. Unfortunately they only had large tins, but still went for this. This is based on their perfume of the same name, which is a genmaicha based fragrance.

Honestly, I had very low hopes for this blends, but quite like it! The genmaicha is obviously the most forward flavor, with a touch of vanilla and violet lingering in the background. The cup is also quite perfumed, which also checks out. I don’t really get chocolate, which I’m fine with. Overall pleasantly surprised.

Another very easy to drink, delicious tea from Bitterleaf. This is rather mild, with a touch of tropical fruit. Slightly floral.

I’ve had this tin for quite some time, and I’m sad to see it go. Really love it cold, but ended up bringing the last of it to work and drinking it hot. Still tasty hot.

I haven’t had a cup of this in so long. But, it still smells and tastes wonderful. So much cardamom, balanced with a really light touch of maple. I actually get more brown sugar than maple, which is one of the reasons why I enjoy it so much.

I get a mostly rummy, marshmallowy flavor on top of the roasted flavor of the hojicha.

Apparently my tastes have changed over the last 5 years (when I rated it a 51), as I really love this tea now. The orchid is really present and the green base is vegetal and bright.

Given to me as a sample in my most recent WP order. I’ve pretty much stopped buying charcoal roasted oolongs, as they all start to taste the same. This one definitely falls into that category, but is on the better end of the charcoal roasted spectrum.
