I enjoyed this – Earl Grey with some almond milk is becoming a morning staple for me, but I didn’t think this one had all the notes it’s ingredients would suggest. I think in the grand scheme, it is good for if you don’t want your earl grey to be a punch in the face of bergamot. Given that I put a fair bit of milk in mine, and I want to taste the bergamot, I prefer more.

This was really good as bagged chamomile goes. I strongly prefer my chamomile loose, but this was great in a pinch. I love how chamomile sort of naturally has a honey-esque flavor.

drank Cookie by Lupicia

Creepily, this really did taste like a cookie. I wish I had milk with me when I used my sample, I bet the creamy addition would have made it even more cookie-like, with no added sugar even.

drank Red Velvet Cake by DAVIDsTEA

This is really sweet on its own, I am glad I didn’t add any more sweetener, though my next cup will probably involve a dash of milk. It actually does taste like cake. It is very yummy, though not my most favorite ever. I normally prefer to trick myself into drinking teas like this after dinner for “dessert”, but the caffeine of this prevents me from doing that.

drank Mango by Adagio Teas

As usual, cold steeped is the way to go with this one. Super not a fan of the Adagio black base hot unless I am drinking it hot. To me, it gets weird as it cools down. This is tasty – definitely tastes like mango, but I adore mango and this lacks a bit of the tropical awesomeness.

drank Citron Oolong by Rishi Tea

Wow – I am a huge fan. This has a way of tasting juicy without being overly sour or sweetened. It is very much an equal mix of citrus and oolong, as opposed to oolong with some citrus in it. In fact, in the jar, I was like “wtf where is the tea??” because of all of the flowers. But once steeped, the oolong unfurls a TON and then it doesn’t seem so crazy. The blossoms are beautiful and prevent it from tasting like cleaning products for me, and I enjoy this hot or iced equally. Bonus, I steeped it three times and all three steeps were flavorful. This is a definite repurchase.

drank Kava Stress Relief by Yogi Tea

This is actually pretty good. It has stevia in it, which I usually loathe, but it is barely there. The flavor is spicy, I can really taste the cinnamon, and not unpleasant. I bought it for the relaxation claims than the taste, to be honest, but the taste isn’t too bad. I wouldn’t repurchase for taste, but I did like how effective the relaxing effect was. With all the warnings about kava, I don’t intend on consuming this more than a couple times a week, but I am glad to know it works.

drank Summer Rose by Adagio Teas

I adore rose, and cold steeped, this stuff is magic. I like it with a little sweetener so it tastes a bit like candied roses.

This tasted good but underwhelming. It definitely had a fruity, sweet finish, but it was so faint. I was surprised, given I steeped this for the entire five minute recommended steep time. I think in the grand scheme, there is better flavor out there. But if you enjoy barely there flavor, or have a much more sensitive palate than I, this might work for you. It is just too plain for me.

Now a certified teacher, beginning my first year in third grade this fall. I have been involved in the tea world about 5 years now. In that time, I have learned so much, and am hoping to learn even more by joining the steepster community.

In my non-tea times, I am usually watching netflix while writing lesson plans, cuddling my two kitties, or trying to find new things to do in a town that is sometimes a bit limited!
