558 Tasting Notes
Grabbed this for my first cup of the morning. Thought a great flavored tea would help liven up my breakfast of cheerios. This tea did not let me down. The blueberry flavor is rich and tastes just like blueberry preserves/jam that would be in the center of a wonderful, fresh bakery danish. There is sweetness in the cup that reminds me of sweet pastry flakes and if I slurp it a bit, I get the creamy cheese center. Great cup for this morning!
Preparation
Thanks Rachel for sending some of this my way. This is a sweet tasty morning treat. I taste a lot of the ceylon base, but am getting notes of caramel and slight nutmeg. It doesn’t taste like a flavored tea, it tastes like the leaves were meant to have this flavor to them. Very nice smooth blend. I tried this without additives, although I’m sure it would hold up well to cream and sugar. Very nice all by itself.
Preparation
Having a second cup of this tonight. Steeped with a tsp of german rock sugar. I’m eating it with a slightly tart honeycrisp apple. I think I lost too much of the apple flavor in this pairing it with the apple, but I like how the cinnamon and the fresh apple taste together. I like the blend of spices in this. Great tea for this time of year:)
Another tasty sample from Rachel. I like the masala chai base adagio has, and the chocolate and chocolate chip add a rich and velvety chocolate taste. I added a little bit of german rock sugar and skim milk (would have used cream, but had none after last weeks clumpy cream experience). Ahhh…finally a good home made chai!
Thanks Rachel for sending me so many wonderful teas. I am finally getting back around to trying more of them. The name of this made me grab it tonight. I’ve been watching Vampire Diaries season 1 all day and thought this would be a good way to enjoy the show.
The blood orange in this scared me a bit, but it plays a small part in the flavor of this blend. The CHOCOLATE is the biggest part I taste. Mmmmm chocolate. There is just a bit of rum goodness in the background.
Another winner from Rachel!
A bag of this was thrown into the sampler box TeaEqualsBliss sent me. Decided to have this to fill my fruity green tea craving. I can definitely taste the raspberry in this. Not a whole lot to this green tea base, but it’s pretty decent. I like the raspberry in this. Should have mixed this with the watermelon raspberry green for an extra raspberry boost!
Preparation
Yesssssss!
Got this tea back in my possesion yesterday. Opened it up and brewed a steaming mug full with a few ounces of skim milk as soon as I could today. This makes the most rewarding beverage. I love the creamy coconut. This will be a staple in my collection. I’m glad it is on 52teas permanent collection.
Preparation
Had to see how this compared to the Apple Vanilla Chai White tea from 52teas. Things are quite different between these two teas. This is quite smooth, sweet and full of pear flavor with a great white base. The Chai is full of cinnamon sweetness, hints of apple and other background spices that thicken the taste of the tea. Quite different.
I’m upping the rating on this tea a few points as I finally got the temperature right and steeped it for 30 seconds longer. Really brought out more pear flavor and an overall more flavorful cup. Sad to see I only have another pot/few cups left of this. May as well head over to 52teas and see if there are more available. I’m not ready to go a fall and winter without this blend.
