Hoping this will help me ease into my morning with a light bit of caffeine. Yesterday I started off with a bang (3 coffee’s a latte and a large black iced tea). I think my body needs a rest. Love the ripe pineapple aroma of this blend.

Jaime

I’m hoping to pick this up this afternoon if the coffee shop has it!

Thanks to a swap with Rachel I am trying this tea. Also, thanks to TeaEqualsBliss for posting that it was really awesome brewed double strength.

Brewed double strength this is just the eye-opener I needed this morning. It’s like a shot of adrenaline in waking me up and giving me energy…although maybe a little too much energy according to my sleepy husband. I love that the earl grey bravo isn’t the only player in this tea, it is still there in flavor, although not as creamy as alone, and is added to with the other blends. Great morning cup. May try with a splash of cream next time.

Now if only Adagio would open their retail location so I could go and play with my own blend creations….I’ve heard a tentative date of tomorrow, but not sure on any updates.

Glad I could help! LOL – Seriously tho, glad that it worked out!!!

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Sweet, happy you liked it. I plan on going to the grand opening with my family too. Would love to meet you there if you come out too. :-)

Meghann M

Is the grand opening tomorrow? Or Oct 1st? I’ve heard different things.

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

He is still hoping for tomorrow but is still waiting on some millwork on his cabinets so based on when that gets done is when he will open. He was going to contact me to let me know so if you don’t hear first I will be sure let you know.

TeaEqualsBliss

I wish I lived closer!!!!!

Jaime

I wish I lived closer, too. That’d be so much fun to go in and do your own blends!

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Well, if you’re ever in town we should make a trip of it.

Hubby and I finished up the last two bags of the tin of this tonight :( Another trip to Whole foods/World Market needs to happen soon. I don’t know if I can go long without this tea.

I was happy that he liked this without any sweetner, as he usually has to put 3-4 packets of splenda in his tea to enjoy it. Finally found something he will drink without additives :)

This tea is delightful, refreshing and oh so pineapple-y hot. I think this may be the first cup I’ve had hot. I’m glad I enjoy it this way as well, since it is getting cooler out.

Thank you Jaime for sending me a sample of this to try. I was very curious to try this after your tasting note!

This tea is so sweet and it tingles so nicely down the throat. I have to be careful to take small sips or the fire is a bit too much and I cough.

I enjoy this the most when it is at it’s hottest. It’s almost syrupy in flavor. I like it!

LiberTEAS

I liked this one a lot too.

Meghann M

It’s like Altoids, Curiously Strong…but in a spicy way. I wonder if this would do well as a latte?

Jaime

I’m glad you both liked it!

This tea became mine in a swap with silvermage2000. I was curious about this one after reading others tasting notes, but it wasn’t available any longer. I’m so happy to get to sample some…well, more than some, almost a near full pouch!

The dry leaves of this tea smell just like cola. They even have an effervescent scent to them, I don’t know how tea can posess this, let alone the leaves, but it is so cool!

I brewed this for 3:30 mintutes at boiling. I think this may have been a tad long, or maybe I just need a little sweetner, because it is quite potent. There is something in the flavor of this tea that makes it tingle on my tongue. It really does have many similarities to cherry vanilla cola. I taste a sarsaparilla note in the tea, maybe that is part of the natural cola flavoring? Something reminds me of the sarsaparilla flavoring in the Root Beer Float tea that was made not too long ago. Yum!

This tea is great, I can’t wait to try it iced!

amandajo

Mmm…the sasparilla remark makes me want to try it! This site has made my tea addiction so much worse! (Not that that’s really a bad thing!) :)

Cofftea

Ditto amandajo! ahem… all their matcha’s and Mayan Chocolate Chai by the pound… lol.

amandajo

lol…Actually, I was talking about steepster! I was already addicted to 52teas before this (zoomdweebie’s tea bar is in my home town). :)

Cofftea

Oh yeah duh that’s right. I think you’re the only steepsterite here from the area (or at least that I’ve seen) so I forgot you’re one of the lucky ones. :)

amandajo

yep…and the fudge brownie tea is quite awesome by the way…

Cofftea

The only question I have is, is it FUDGE! vs just CHOCOLATE!?

amandajo

oh it’s fudgy…definitely not just chocolate :)

Cofftea

amandajo, you are NOT helping lol.

Jaime

This sounds so, so good. So does the fudge brownie. All their teas, really.

amandajo, I’m so jealous that you get to go to zoomdweebie’s. I hope I get to go there someday.

LiberTEAS

Jaime – I don’t know that I would want to go to zoomdweebies, because I know if I go I will end up buying way too much tea. It’s bad enough that I’m pretty much buying every single tea of the week that they put out (there are a couple of teas that Frank has created that I’ve been able to resist, but not many). I’d probably end up buying the place if I went there. And that can’t happen. My pocketbook (and hubby) say NO.

Meghann M

Oooh, fudge tea that tastes like fudge and not just chocolate? I know I’m late to the party of comments, but that sounds amazing:)

I understand about the site making the tea addiction worse. I only had a few teas before here, now I have an overflowing tea cupboard and an emptying wallet:) But I’m very happy and my hubby is enjoying the tea with me too.

Jaime

I would end up buying too much tea there, too. And, yes, Meghann, this site has made the addiction worse. Partially because I get to see so many more teas/brands I was exposed to, but mainly because I now know I’m not the only one who is obsessed with tea and all its manifestations, and I’m justified in my addiction.

Meghann M

Oooh, thanks for a new tea site amandajo. I love better than sex cake/bars, think I’ll have to look that one up!

Meghann M

PS-wild woman sounds great too, I love teas with black currants!

Jaime

Yeah, I’ll be caving on the Better than Sex tea…and probably on the Duchess’s First Love, too. And maybe the Persian Rose…

Thank goodness tea isn’t illegal.

amandajo

lol… there is a sampler pack for 60 bucks that I have been contemplating :P…caffeinated or uncaffeinated…they both sound so good…

amandajo

oops…realized that it should have been www.taytea.com but looks like you guys figured that out :P

Meghann M

I didn’t see the sampler pack…might need some new teas to test out the breveille…new teapot/tea maker means I should splurge a little on teas too.

I love the names of the teas, they are great. Does it say anywhere how many ounces of tea are in each tea tin at tay tea?

amandajo

Yeah, in that second paragraph at the top of the screen in the shop online section it says that the tins are 4 oz each. The sampler contains 2oz tins (8 different kinds).

Meghann M

Cool thanks!

Used the last of the pouch for a few hot cups on this cold night. I’m in a sweatshirt and jeans with a fleece blanket and my husband has shorts and a tee shirt on and is sweating. Hot spicy tea for me, iced watermelon tea for him :)

Paul M Tracy

How does the pear hold up in this blend? It’s such a delicate flavor that it’s typically difficult to faithfully reproduce.

Cofftea

I’m seriously considering caving, but it was the TOTW so long ago I seriously question its freshness.

Meghann M

The pear comes through nicely, it is covered up a bit by the spices, especially when brewed in the hotter range of temperature, but it is definitely there. I taste it more in this pear than in Adagio’s white pear.

Meghann M

I bought and opened it several weeks ago, and drank most of it in the last few weeks, I didn’t think it tasted stale or anything. I think I will buy another pouch as it’s the only pear white tea I’ve found I like!

Used the last of this to make a pitcher of iced tea tonight. Hubby and I both have been drinking it constantly. I will have to purchase another pouch.

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

I have been drinking this slowly it lasts longer.

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Sorry I meant “so” it lasts longer. I don’t want it to run out. :-)

Made this iced tonight. Sweet and fruity with a nice sencha base. I seem to enjoy these teas more iced as of late. Very delicious with a little bit of sweetner. Yum!

Jaime

I got this one as my freebie!! I can’t wait to try it!

Meghann M

I think you’ll like it. It was my freebie too. I love when 52teas has a special!

Received this tea from a swap with silvermage2000. This was one of four cherry teas in the swap, and the one I was most curious to try. I’d love to say I was curious to try it because of the flavors, but it was more to do with the French wording in the description.

These leaves smell and tea tastes of a higher quality, akin to those of Dammann Freres and Mariage Freres. The black tea base is quite tasty. I like the cherry flavoring mixed with floral notes. Very enjoyable cup. I think I may need to steep it longer next time at a lower temp to see if more of the almond comes out in the taste.

This makes an amazing iced tea! I added a little splenda to see if it brought out more of the fruit flavors, and wow, either the icing of the tea helped, or the sweetner, but this is mega watermelon flavored with a nice raspberry finish. I love they buttery notes to the sencha base. This is becoming a favorite tea.

Live in the cornfields of IL, but not too far from the city. Expecting a baby any day now (due Oct 24 2011). Sticking to mainly herbal and low caffeine teas for now. Trying to encourage my husbands tea drinking, but he adds so much sweetner he may as well just drink diet pop. I love trying new teas, and will try any tea once.
