This was recommended to me, by the DavidsTea sales person when I was buying some more Strawberry Rhubarb parfait. It really tastes like a muffin, but is a bit tart. I enjoyed it and would have it again. I love it with a touch of honey, but did not enjoy it iced.

When I read the description for this tea I expected a nice creamy tea with a light sweet blueberry flavour, it is definitely not that. While the blueberry flavour was quite tart I actually enjoyed it. Was very different from most of the other fall teas .

There is some sweet note to this tea and some sour note to this tea, or should I say tart note. When I bought this I actually thought it was a black tea so I was surprised when I took a closer look and saw it was a caffeine free fruit infusion. It is fairly tasty. I am cold brewing this for tomorrow as an iced tea.

Brewed this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and boiling water for seven minutes.

I expected a sweet, cakey tea with notes of honey or caramel and dried fruit. Instead, I found the tisane surprisingly tart with no hints of cake/baked goods or blueberries. I did really like the after taste of yoghurt and custard, but I don’t know why this was called blueberry muffin.

I guess I may be one of the only people that actually doesn’t mind this tea. It’s definitely the best of the 2016 fall blends in my personal opinion. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not planning to run out and by a whole heap more but I will enjoy the 25g that came in my fall sampler box… the granola tea not so much but that’s another story.

This doesn’t taste like muffin… but I do get the blueberry flavor and what feels a little bit like cream or yogurt. I’ve been drinking this as a late morning tea at work and its been satisfying my craving for something sweet.

Just as I get my cupboard number down to the teens I end up buying a few more types of tea and I’m back into the 20s, lol. No worries though- I’ll be back in the teens quickly since I only bought small amounts.

I have now used up the 20-something grams I bought. Each time I steeped 1 perfect spoonful to 8oz of 200F water. I tried the tea hot but hot tart tea is gross. I then let it cool off in the fridge/freezer and it was better- to me it tastes like strawberry rhubarb parfait tea. Sometimes though I got a little bit of a “cakey” taste which was nice. Honestly though, I probably won’t repurchase though simply because I’ve been since tart teas give me heartburn sometimes.

Still can’t believe this tea was retired – but I stocked up quite a bit on it, so I should be covered for a long, long time! This was a cold brew – one one that was actually bloody lovely. Not too tart/hibiscus heavy with a really well rounded blueberry note that just screamed “plump, ripe blueberries” to me in the nicest way. A hint of buttery/vanilla in the finish. Splendid, and though I made a whole pitcher to share with my roommates I’ve completely finished it off all on my own now before they even had the chance to try it…

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

I originally started out as vehemently not a fan of this this; and over time it’s truly grown on me – but the rating predates my DT employment, and I haven’t touch the ratings at all since I started working there. So in some cases teas have a higher rating than I would probably score them now, and some have lower ones.

I wonder if it makes sense to simply reset old ratings that no longer line up with your thoughts. I get not wanting to change them but setting them back to nothing doesnt seem deceitful or biased to me, especially when there is such a discrepancy between rating and review. Plus you are always very open and forthright so I doubt anyone would ever accuse you of doing some of the sketchy things some other companies have done on steepster.

Fair enough that it’s your original rating – I didn’t look at your past notes but figured either that was the case, or you accidentally rated it when you didn’t intend to! I think it’s fair enough to remove a rating that no longer matches your thoughts.

Lol I figured if you were writing a review and saw the number didn’t match your feelings, you’d just reset it. I’d be perfectly comfortable with that as I’d imagine others would as well. I definitely didn’t expect you to reset them all.

I agree. Resetting the ones that are totally different on a case-by-case basis seems fair. Especially as it affects that tea’s overall rating on steepster.

I’m just conflicted because I feel like in a way that’s not really staying impartial? Which is definitely something that I think is important for me to do; not just as far as Steepster goes but also as an employee of DT? :S

You are good with including in NEW David’s notes that you now work for them so when the note isn’t there, it’s obviously an older tasting note even if you aren’t looking at the date, and anyone who is used to seeing your notes will probably realize that any David’s you have rated was before you worked for them. But if you see a rating you don’t agree with now, I think it’s fine to reset it back to nothing. My two cents. :D
