I am new to the tea game, so I still tend to miss coffee throughout the day (I still have one cup each morning tho). This tea is a really good version of coffee. It really is quite close to the real thing, but different in a good way at the same time. This was one of my first orders online, and I just recently purchased 100g more of it! Needless to say… I love it. I love it with a little bit of milk and sugar, just the way I take my coffee :)

So I am a fan of tea and coffee both. I got too spoiled by my HTML professor on a French press tea, so when I bought my tea press from DAVIDsTEA, I knew I would be a happy camper being able to use it for tea and coffee. Never did I think I could have both my loves in one cup till I smelt the Coffee Pu’reh. I HAD to have it and guess what? I do not regret it at all. It is my go to tea for my 8 am Business class.

I was gifted this sample. I have never had a coffee pu’erh. I don’t know…this may go along with how I feel about chocolate flavored teas which I generally don’t care for. Not terrible/not great. I would not turn down a cup but would not buy it either.

After kickin’ coffee and converting to tea, this is my absolute favorite way to start the day. I use a tad more than 2 PS for a mug. If you’re leery about switching to tea, TRY this. Superfantastico!

I have to say I love coffee however it causes big stomach upsets for me so having to give it up wasn’t the easiest. Once I started drinking tea and found this tea it really took the coffee cravings away and tasted similar to it WITHOUT the stomach upset.

Love, love, love this tea! I do find it a little bitter, but I add Chocolate Agave to it and its an amazing mocha. I enjoy drinking this is the morning rather than coffee. Great thing is it can be resteeped as well!!

Day 12 of David’s Tea’s 24 Days of Tea 2017

As someone who can’t really stand the smell or taste of coffee, I was pleasantly surprised. Most of the time even the slightest amount of coffee is absolutely disgusting to me (even a mix of 50% coffee 50% milk and sugar I found barely tolerable) but I found this tea drinkable, and even slightly pleasant? It tastes interesting, and I’ll definitely finish off the tiny tin with my roommates, but I doubt I’d go out specifically to buy this tea again.

(Edit: tried this one with and without milk. It’s pretty good either way.)

Advent Calendar 2017, Day 12: I HATE coffee. I never would have tried this except it was in the advent calendar. One sip had me gagging. But since this is a flavor I hate, it’s not fair for me to rate it. Enjoy, coffee lovers!

Day 12 DavidsTea 24 Days of Tea calendar – Coffee Pu’erh. I was only able to have about 5 sips of this. The coffee beans made this a digestive minefield for me. I got into tea b/c coffee was giving me terrible nausea after decades of loving the stuff. Tried a few sips, waited, started to feel not so great, stopped. The overly cloying sweetness from the almond did not help either.

So, for anyone else who is coffee sensitive but thinking this tea might be weak enough to be okay: be wary still.

It did remind me how much I miss coffee, but it also reminded me how much I hated flavoured coffee. This was sweet and, as mentioned before, the almond and also vanilla were far too strong & the whole thing is underpinned with an artificiality that was not pleasant. If you dig General Foods International instant flavoured coffees, you’ll probably like this. Everyone else: steer clear.

Got this out of the 24 Days of Tea 2017 thing. MAN this tastes quite a bit like coffee. But I still get the puerh too, a little in the back. I actually couldn’t really drink this plain, not because it was too bitter or anything, but I’m not crazy about the taste of coffee. However, with some cream and sweetner, I kinda loved this one.
