drank Pumpkin Chai by DAVIDsTEA

I have never been a fan of chai teas and in the past and admit to choking them down with no enjoyment. My cousin is a huge fan of all things “chai” and the ones I have had have been from being a guest in his home. I received a sample of this one in my last David’s Tea order so I decided to give it a whirl tonight. I enjoyed this more than I have any other chai tea that I’ve had in the past. It wasn’t too spicy which is what I find to be the problem with other chai teas I’ve had. It has just the right amount of spice and I don’t find the flavour overpowering. A nice surprise. I’d call it a weak chai tea which I’m sure would be to the dismay of real chai lovers but for me it was perfect. Still, chai is not my thing and now that my sample is gone, I don’t feel the need to buy more.

One of my favourites from David’s Tea. A nice, creamy lime flavour. Refreshing and delicious. Such a bright tea. I can get multiple steeps on this one which is great. You can drink it straight or add milk and a sweetener of your choice, it’s great both ways. I’ll always want to keep a stash of this tea in my cupboard. I can see guests being impressed with this one and it would be high up on my list to serve as an after dinner sip. Yum!

A very nice tea. Would be great iced. The predominant flavour I’m getting is pear but I’m also tasting a good amount of kiwi as well. Very fruity! There is just the right amount of natural sweetness in this tea for me but some may find it a bit tart and may want to add some agave nectar, honey or sugar. A nice, light, refreshing fruit tea!

This isn’t bad but I’m getting a bitterness that I don’t really care for. I love chocolate covered strawberries but this tea falls a little flat for me. I feel like it should be a little sweeter. I sweetened mine with agave nectar and that seemed to help. I can see why others would love this though as the strawberry and chocolate flavours are definitely present. To me, it just feels like it needs a little something more to elevate it a touch. Still pretty good though, just not destined to be one of my must-have favourites.

drank Forever Nuts by DAVIDsTEA

Drinking this makes me feel like I’m eating a piece of warm apple crumble. I taste apple, nuts and a buttery pastry. Seems well balanced and light and not overly sweet. I received this as a sample in my last online order from David’s Tea. I may try this one with some agave nectar and milk in the future to see what that does to the already pleasant flavour. A nice tea to relax and unwind with on the weekend.

I go to my in-laws once a week for dinner. My Mother-in-law doesn’t drink tea very often so her stash is limited. Usually I just drink President’s Choice White Tea as she always has that on hand and I do like it. However, this time she had Celestial Seasonings Cranberry Apple Zinger so I thought I’d have it for something different for a change. I thought it might be too acidic for me and bother my acid reflux, as some fruity teas do that to me. I was pleasantly surprised. It didn’t bother my stomach at all. Not only that but it went down nice and easy. I found it comforting and soothing. It suited the mood I was in. It was a little sweet, a little tart and had a nice cranberry/apple flavour. It tasted just right. I re-steeped, as I usually do with all the tea I drink but this one did not re-steep well. The second cup was just like mildly flavoured hot water. I generally don’t drink grocery store bought teas unless they’re organic but I did enjoy my cup of this on a cold Autumn evening.

This tea has a nice, light, pleasant enough, nutty flavour but that’s all I really get from it. Not anything really special in my opinion. Even with a hit of agave nectar it still could have standed to be a little sweeter. This is a “middle-of-the-road” tea for me. There are ones I dislike more than this one and ones I like more. It goes down easy enough so I won’t have any trouble finishing what I’ve got but I don’t feel the need to keep it stocked up. It’s not bad if light and nutty is your thing but nothing to write home about.

drank Earl Grey by Numi Organic Tea

I thought the flavour of this tea was solid. I enjoyed my cup of it thoroughly. I had mine as a London Fog Latte. Really yummy! The only tea my partner will drink and likes is Earl Grey and he wanted me to try it done this way. I’m so glad I did! I’ve never been a huge Earl Grey lover before but done this way, I could drink it every day and it would be a real treat. It was freezing cold outside today and this really did the job of helping me warm up. I look forward to getting another one in the future.

My sister loves this tea. She says it’s in her top five favourites from David’s Tea. It’s because of her that I decided to try it. I believe that it is well done. Once the tea is steeped, the smell is of ripe, juicy raspberries sun kissed with coconut. The black tea also really shines through. Upon consumption there is a bitterness that I don’t care for but the taste of the raspberries mingled with the coconut upon the black tea base is respectable. I had a feeling this tea was not going to be for me and I was right. The black tea is a bit too strong for me personally. This isn’t one I would recommend unless I knew someone who was specifically searching for a tea with a strong raspberry/coconut flavour to it. I’ll finish my stash of it but won’t re-purchase.

This tea has a mild white tea flavour with a nice berry kick. It smells berrylicious when steeped and the berry flavour comes through nicely without being too overpowering. I have to be careful with berry heavy teas as the acidity tends to bother my acid reflux now and then. That has happened with this tea but not every time I drink it. I love that it’s organic and also doesn’t break the bank. Overall, I find that Touch Organic tea offerings are reliable for taste and price point.

Bio

I’ve been a member of Steepster since 2014 and decided to finally update my ancient Bio now that it’s 2022. (Updating again in 2024!)

I’ve loved tea my entire life, since I was a kid. Starting with Orange Pekoe, then Irish Breakfast, Rosehip, Earl Grey, Green and White and now, I’ll drink or at least try, just about any tea.

One of my favourite things to do is meeting my friends at the coffee shop, sitting and sipping for hours while we chat and laugh and enjoy each other. We try to do this at least once a week or when our work schedules match up. Tea and coffee brings people together!

I live in Ontario, Canada and work at a Winners/Homesense combo store.
I have a 12 year old cat, Tucker, who is diabetic and asthmatic (and completely toothless) but still enjoys his life to the fullest and he truly is the sweetest boy.(Tucker sadly passed away in 2023, one month after he turned 14.)

I don’t always post every single time I drink tea, I’m kind of sporatic that way but I do enjoy reading what you all are drinking and your reviews.

Stay safe and healthy!
