6444 Tasting Notes
This tea went into my swap box. I broke it out for #31daysofhallotean as the prompt was to drink a trick blend aka a tea you don’t like. Roswell Strange was kind enough to share this with me but I could almost guarantee I wasn’t going to be a fan between the puerh, dandelion, and chicory. It was essentially a combination of all things I don’t like in one mean cup. And though I hoped for the best, this met my expectation. I am not rating though because this just happens to be all things I don’t like and it seems unfair for me to tank the rating based 100% on personal preferences. Nonetheless, thank you Roswell Strange for sharing and always trying to broaden my horizons haha.
I put the tea in a teabag and just let it continually steep. It is more apple than ginger today though and I find that disappointing.
As I keep allowing it to steep, the ginger is coming through a little more bit the apple is still the stronger flavor. I just wanted the burn today so I am sad that’s not the focus.

When I was steeping this, my brother-in-law walked into the kitchen and asked who was making hot chocolate. He then realized it was tea that just smelled like chocolate. Unfortunately, the rooibos comes through and drowns the chocolate slightly. Not completely but a fair bit. Like Roswell Strange said, it’s got a bit of a rum ball vibe to it but I wish it was more chocolate and less rooibos.
I cold brewed this in milk and the first sip was sooo familiar. The chai latte from Starbucks is what comes to mind, though with less sugar, which is preferred. However, that’s not quite accurate because it has the pumpkin vibe too. I like it and will be writing a more through review sometime in the future. Until then, thank you for sharing, CuppaGeek!

I’ve been waiting for a quite moment to make an earl grey and watch the latest geek steep about Star Trek. I thought that was going to be tonight – hence the tea choice – but as soon as I finished brewing, my sister came downstairs and wanted to play the new Crash Bandicoot game. So we did that and I drank this while playing.
It was so good. Great vanilla and coconut flavor. It’s so good that the bergamot doesn’t bother me one bit. It works perfectly here because this is delicious! Hoping to get more of this one in the future…
