Instagram is going crazy with their monthly challenges. There are two separate ones for the month of November. They are helpful for getting content for the Sororitea Sisters instagram page though so I try to participate. One of the prompts was to drink a Saintly tea, which didn’t really mean anything to me. The other was to drink a favourite nostalgic tea. That’s the prompt I decided to follow and pulled this tea out.
I ended up steeping this in a cool new travel mug I was sent to review for the Sororitea Sisters. Since it was on-the-go steeping, I didn’t make this as a latte, which is how I have been making it for the past few times I had it. I forgot how nice this tea can be plain. I’m getting a lot of caramel flavor today. Caramel and black tea and cinnamon. It is also very comforting and delightful. And it went perfectly with the Halloween light show and the snow storm I was in while drinking it.

This tea is nostalgic because I started drinking tea around the time the Fall teas were released by DAVIDsTEA. So, when I ventured into DAVIDs for the very first time, this was one of the many teas I walked out with that first day. Even back in 2013 the Pumpkin Chai release was a big deal and so it was a lot of fun to get to try the shiny new Fall teas and this beloved blend. It’s a tea that I have enjoyed since the start of my tea journey and while its not the best blend in the world, I still find myself buying it yearly and getting excited when I see its being released again. Something about it just says Fall is here and with it comes all the awesome Fall things to be excited about!
I really like the Menna mug. Only down sides are the basket takes up so much room and you end up with leaves soaking in hot water between steepings if you do multiple.
