Tea #7 from Pass the Stash box
I like this tea. I can taste the oolong, which isn’t too overpowering. The smell of the caramel/burnt sugar was prevalent in the dry leaf. I can taste some of it in the tea, but it too, isn’t too overpowering.
I probably did oversteep it, but it is satisfying.

Tea #6 from Pass the Stash box
I do not know what is wrong with me. I had such high hopes for this tea…it smelled like cinnamon and clove in the sample bag. I try it…and it just tastes blah! I get the cinnamon, maybe some slight orange or vanilla, and no clove. It smells like a Christmas candle, and just is not tasting like that to me.
We’ll see if it gets better as it cools…that’s been happening to me lately.
Preparation
Tea #4 from Pass the Stash box
Did I underleaf? The smell of the sample was really good, but I didn’t care for the flavor. I got a little white chocolate at the end of the sip, but really nothing during the sip. I had higher hopes for this tea. Looking at the other reviews, I wonder if I did something wrong.
Preparation
Tea #2 from Pass the Stash box
I would have liked more toffee flavor, but I don’t have any of the toffee squares in the sample. Still, this does taste like toffee on top of the delicate white base. I think these work well together. I just would have liked a more pronounced toffee flavor.
Nice, light, and refreshing…I must be a big fan of the white base, because I rate these fairly highly.
Preparation
Tea #1 from Pass the Stash box
You ever have a tea where you’re not quite sure if you like it or not? That would be this tea. Smelling the bag, I smell the almond, chocolate, vanilla combo; it is quite powerful.
Drinking the tea, it is quite different. This tea almost feels like it is making me thirsty. It tastes a little like how it smells. I like it better as it is cooling down. I liked the smell more than the taste.
EDIT: Tastes more like how it smells when it cooler.
Preparation
I made a gallon of this from 2 steepings, and it tastes like…mint chocolate chip ice cream! I think it is refreshing, but not cloyingly sweet. I did add some liquid stevia (because I just don’t like unsweetened tea), and it was perfect.
Preparation
Tea #7 from Another Traveling Tea Box?!?!?!
I think this is my first mate. I don’t really care for it. It wouldn’t be fair for me to rate this, because it will bring the rating of the tea down. I do like the spices a lot…I thought they smelled very good in the bag. I just don’t care for the tea base.
This is one of the good things about a traveling box, or a swap…trying different things to see if I like them BEFORE I buy!
