726 Tasting Notes
At my Aunt’s place and SHE EXPANDED HER TEA COLLECTION. Now she actually has tea sachets. Aww I’m proud :‘)
Went for this tea because I wanted Genmaicha right now. I’ve had Genmaicha before, and I love it so much! This just tastes.. okay compared to the one that I have back home. Dude. The one I have back home I bought in Japan in Epcot so it’s legit and nothing can compare.
This is pretty good though so yes yes I like :)
I have a headache. Sister says peppermint will help with headaches. So here I am drinking spearmint tea hahha totally the same thing, right?
Well it’s in a sachet and it’s full leaf so it’s good.
Out of the package it definitely smells like spearmint, without the whole toothpaste-y smell.
Drinking it wow. It’s really good. And the aroma that comes out isn’t strictly spearmint. Can definitely tell that it’s a blend with a floral-y flavour. And lemony. Must be that lemon Myrtle! Well yeah. It’s good and it works. Probably going to add some honey just because I can :)
Preparation
Still don’t have my strainer so I have to brew in my wee little tea balls that I hate so much because CONSTRICTION. But I think I’ll manage.
Decided to just pop one pearl into my wire ball sachet droppy thing and put it into the tiniest cup I own. Yeah I don’t even know what that thing I’m using is called because I NEVER USE IT. MOTHER BOUGHT IT. But better than nothing.
BUT YEAH ONTO THE TEA. Smells dry and earthy and much like black tea :) The smell from the bag was very nice, and brewing, it doesn’t have that deep earthy smell. But the taste of it is very smooth! It leaves a bit of an aftertaste though. A weird and bitter aftertaste. I think it’s probably from the orange juice that I had earlier haha. Let’s see if the aftertaste will be gone in a few sips or so :)
OKAY SCRATCH THAT. ORANGE JUICE AFTERTASTE IS GONE. THIS TEA IS SMOOTH AND WONDERFUL WOWY WOW WOW I LIFE VERY MUCH. 12/10 WOULD RECOMMEND.
You have no idea how many times I’ve drank this tea and I don’t know if I like it or not.
Red tea is.. interesting. It may be a bit too fruity for my tastebuds? Ack idk. I’ll try another cuppa in a few days. Don’t think I’ll completely fall in love with it, but it’s still a pretty good tea to have at night :)
Preparation
Okay at first I was all 1tbs for one cup of tea? Isn’t that a bit much!? So I just did something just shy of 1tbs and let it steep for longer and.. no. Do what the instrudtions say. It got a bit bitter, but it’s still really good!
I mainly bought this tea because I’ve never had lapacho before. Still don’t know how it’s supposed to taste like, but I do taste the cinnamonny, gingery goodness! Perfect watmth for the holiday season… even though it’s nearly 75 degrees out at a quarter past 10pm.. this isn’t regular December weather for me, but hey! I’ve got my gingerbread tea and my peppermint brownies. I’m set for the holidays :)
side note: definitely going to try this tea again later on and put the right amount and steep it for the right time so it’s not all bitter and weird.
Preparation
Mother just sent me a Christmas care package and it had a pack of these little beauties in it! I’m not exactly the biggest fan of teas with chocolate, but this actually tastes pretty decent. It’s a different Christmas. Not much of the apple and cinnamon spice type of Christmas, but the sweet chocolatey type. It’s nice! Definitely taste the chocolate with very subtle hints of apricot. The black tea base is very light and not overbearing at all :)
I don’t know if I like this tea. I was expecting something totally different! I like how you can really taste the apple, but it has a really weird aftertaste that I don’t really like.
I thought I made it a bit too bitter, I let my roommate try it and she said it tasted like water. Ahh I don’t even know! Maybe my first time trying this tea, I made it all weird.
I’ll try again soon enough
