drank Skin DeTox by Yogi Tea

I’m mostly tasting the rose, grape, pomegranate, and the green tea. I also say overall herbal. It’s also fairly sweet from the pomegranate and rose flavoring which I’m digging. Good with honey or without for me. I’m not too sure about the skin detox effectiveness, but somehow, it helped with my headache. Hopefully the skin detox helps with my breakouts, though there would be no surprise if it doesn’t. Glad I got this on sale, because I would haven’t purchased it otherwise or rated it on the higher end.

I got this on sale, and I mainly got it for the L-Theanine supplemented in it. That amino acid with the chamomile makes this to be a pretty potent sleeping potion at least for me. I also like caramel, and the ingredients did not look half bad.

The cup is fairly sweet on its own and the caramel is palpable, but so are the herbs which may be a welcoming sign or a turn off for some people. Again, this stuff knocks me out, but that might not happen for everyone. More of a tea for newbies and those craving sweets at bedtime. For other people, no matter how experienced they may be, might think that the blend of herbals is too distracting, or the sweetener in this is too herbal and artificially replicated.

drank Kava Stress Relief by Yogi Tea

I thought I didn’t like kava, but I wanted to give this tea a chance before tossing it to make room for other teas. I also don’t care for anise flavors to the licorice in it made me wary. But this tea is really pleasant. The cardamon is the most clear part of the flavor for me, but the tea isn’t super cardamony. It’s got a mild sweetness to it, and tastes like northern european spices, like norse dishes. It’s lovely.

I was looking for a soothing herbal to help detox. I found this to be quite pleasant with a strong enough ginger taste which I was looking for. If you don’t like spice or ginger, this isn’t for you. But if that is what you are looking for, than this is better than most bagged ginger lemon teas. I also enjoy the sayings on the tag.

Pretty good, nothing too spectacular taste-wise but relaxing and nice when you need to calm down after a busy work day

I definitely should not have sweetened this one. All I can taste is the licorice which is cloyingly sweet already. Yikes.

Sweetening a Yogi tea? Not a great idea!

I’ve had a really great day today, very productive and cheery, but since lunch my body has felt sluggish and just off. I thought a detox tea might be just the thing I needed so I tossed a teabag in a cup and here we are. My initial thought is that the tea tastes spiced and indeed there are quite a few spices in here. The ingredient list is quite long. It’s also sweet, probably from the sarsaparilla or licorice. The taste isn’t bad and if it makes me feel a little better then it’s definitely worth it.

I don’t like these detox and “health” teas so much for the taste. Whether they work or not, I’m not sure, but on taste alone they fall short in my book. The Yogi teas especially have too much licorice and sarsaparilla for my taste, which is the case here. The licorice flavor, that cloying sweetness, lingers after each sip. There is a spiciness as well that is like black pepper. It’s not so bad as others I’ve tried. The flavors are much milder. It’s probably one of the more tolerable of the Yogi blends that we have.

Now that it’s cooled, I can taste some of the cinnamon and the cardamom alongside the other flavors. It’s much better after it has cooled some.

My husband really loves these Yogi teas, but so far I haven’t been much of a fan. We have several different varieties and since I made a silent promise to myself to try each of our teas at least once, I am finally breaking down and making myself a cup of this one. To make it sound a little more pleasant, I’m going to refer to this one as a detox tea, which I guess is essentially what it is. No worries – I don’t plan on going into detail here about its “detoxing” qualities, but I do want to comment on the flavor should anyone else want to try it at some point.

The color of the steeped tea is deep red with a green ring around the edge much like some of the Echinacea teas I’ve tried recently. I’m not sure what causes this, but it seems to happen often with the natural blends we have. This has many ingredients, possibly the tea in our cupboard with the most, but it smells mostly of mint. I hope that the licorice (which I know is in this mix because it’s in every Yogi tea) isn’t as offensive as usual. It’s just too much for me most times.

Thankfully, the taste is mostly mint as well. There’s a bit of spiciness on the end of the sip that could come from any of the several spices in this blend. There is also a slight bitter quality that mixes with the spice, as well as something herbaceous. Honestly, this is the best tasting Yogi tea I’ve come across. If it didn’t have the senna leaf, I could see myself drinking this often at night for a nice, minty bedtime tea.

I didn’t purchase a whole box of this tea, I picked it out of a variety. The tea is tart, almost bitter, and the biggest let down is that it doesn’t taste like blueberry at all.

Let this one steep too long and it wound up being rather bitter. When steeped properly, this is an aromatic and very satisfyingly gourmand blend. Cinnamon and vanilla are the strongest notes, with a whisper of hazelnut lingering in the aftertaste.

Having a very boring day at work (end of semester for undergrad = no customers = dragfest for teaqueen). Been watching some professional development videos on YouTube, but there’s only so much lecturing about networking I can take before my eyes start glazing over.

I daresay this won’t be my last brew of the day considering how little else there is to do!

Scooped this up at Shaw’s because I wanted an herbal dessert tea.

This’ll do! It’s packed with flavor. Cinnamon, butterscotch, vanilla, non-cloying sweetness, ginger, chicory… Ooooooo, this is tasty! The hazelnut turns up in the aftertaste as a creamy, nutty note.

Every so often, Yogi gets it right. I think that’s why I keep buying their stuff.

9/10, would recommend.

Sipdown! This one was meh. Probably won’t restock because the flavor was nothing to write home about, and who has time, patience, and money to drink four cups of this stuff every day in order to gain access to its health benefits?

Good if you like herbal dandelion teas with mild toasty notes though.

I’m sure my coworkers think I’m insane, drinking hot tea in 90° F weather, but I’mma do me.
First day back from a vacation is usually brutal, but today is okay so far.
I do love this dandelion tea. It’s roasty and bready and cocoa-y and comforting. Wish it came in a bigger box!

I like this one. Fragrant, bready, caffeine free. Comforting.

I like this one… I actually really like dandelion teas in general. The cocoa shells make this one special. And the lack of weird herbs that I’ve never heard of.

It’s light, toasty, relaxing, and healthy. I get burnt bread, cardamom, cinnamon, cocoa, and dandelion when I sip it.
