I have SO MUCH of this tea. Maybe 6 oz? But now it’s starting to get cooler out I’ll start drinking this up a lot more. It’s pretty awesome with just a dash of sugar/cream.

OMGsrsly

Try it with maple syrup (or maple agave) a la Sil! :D It’s SO GOOD. Also whipped cream.

And that’s the last of this, as part of Operation: Oldest-Teas First. (118)

Wait, that’s a really crappy codename. Maybe Operation: Stale No More? Operation: Rotation Escalation? Operation: Drink More Tea To Boost My Creativity?

Gonna steep on it. (:P)

Sil

lol goofy!

mrs.stenhouse12

Rotation escalation!

Anna

Rotation Escalation is PERFECTION.

TeaLady441

Hahah – allllll riiight. Rotation escalation it is! :P

Anna

AKA RotEsc. If it gets really insane, (G)RotEsc.

TeaLady441

I like the abbreviation, but what’s the G?

Ozli

steep on it made me lol, ngl :P

Grotesque? G’rot’esc?? :P

TeaLady441

Oh. Ohhhhh! (DUH). :D

Today I mixed Pumpkin Pie with Cheesecake, cold milk and frothed it right up. This was a pretty good combo, but not as satisfying as the Cheesecake/Belgium Chocolate.

Stephanie

YUM, you make me want to purchase more matcha so I can play around like this :)

TeaLady441

I’m just so grateful I won the contest that Red Leaf put on. I never win anything, so 11 packs of matcha is just unbelievable! :O I was giddy for weeks! (And that was before the caffeine arrived! ha)

Stephanie

OH that explains it :D Congrats!!!

drank Bolder Breakfast by The Tea Spot
1598 tasting notes

So I’m having this for breakfast. I’m bad at breakfasts when I’m not working. I just sorta get up at 10 and then eat at 1, and stay up until midnight or so – at least 1 hour after the baby goes to bed so I can FINALLY BE ALONE.

This makes a pretty damn good breakfast! And if I haven’t mentioned before,I really love the tins that Tea Spot uses. They have a metal insert under the lid so it’s double-sealed and I know my tea will stay fresh. Thank you, Tea Spot!

Terri HarpLady

I love this tea too, AND their tea tins. :)
Also, Cavo, I have to say how much fun it was coordinating that crazy tea order with you & Sil. LOL

Terri HarpLady

BTW, your current schedule sounds a lot like mine, minus the baby, of course.

TeaLady441

I really appreciate you coordinating that order too! :P I would never have discovered Tea Spot without you – I think you send me the original sample that made me want more.

And it’s a pretty decent schedule! :P My only complaint is that when J comes back from university I feel like I haven’t done enough in the day, but that’s because I’m up later than I would be. It’s worth it though – I’d rather be up past midnight all by myself than wake up at 6.

Terri HarpLady

I feel that!
I love working from home, LOL. Although Ms Theresa keeps reminding me that I need to spend a little more time doing actual ‘work’, whatever that is. ;)

drank Vanilla Berry Truffle by Tealux

Meh. I just didn’t get too much out of this one. Maybe I should have steeped it longer? The fruity currants are nice, but the rooibos overpowers a lot of the flavouring.

Just a quick a note – Belgium Chocolate and Cheesecake matcha mixed together with warm milk is quite amazing!

Sil

Yep….helps takeaway the sharpness the chocolate one has

TeaLady441

Yeah – it is sharp! But gosh, I don’t want to get rid of either of them now. The cheesecake on it’s own was a bit flat so I’ll have to remember that this one likes being mixed. (Also that means I’m getting 2 scoops of matcha so bonus energy!)

TeaLady441

I really want more of this right now but it’s… 12:30? So #willpowersuccess, I won’t.

I’m nearly done this – it’s the perfect cup for a nice autumn afternoon. I love the Fall! I’m going to take the baby out tomorrow and dump leaves on her and take pictures. It’ll be great.

And I made an apple crumble today, with a recipe that is supposed to be better for you than normal so that’s also awesome! :D

Mmmmm we made banana bread last night.

TeaLady441

Mmmm. that’s awesome. I SHOULD make banana bread. We buy 2 bunches a week because the baby will eat 2-3 or even more in a day if we let her and I’m sure she’d love that. (IT’s just the EASIEST snack too…)

drank SoHo Blend by Harney & Sons

I think I over-steeped this a bit. It seems sronger, and oilier than I remember. :P I’ll try what Stacy suggested and dilute it a little. :)

Oh, this matcha! :O It just makes the best cold lattes! It’d probably be great hot too and some day I’ll try it. Hopefully before I run out of this matcha.

This is the distinctive level.

Oh and I might try Sil’s suggestion and mix this with French Vanilla. That sounds like a great combo!

drank Kenyan Earl Grey by JusTea
1598 tasting notes

I love this Earl Grey. It’s so sweet and citrus-y and smooth. I’m just amazed by the freshness and depth of these Justea teas. The bergamot is a tad stronger than I personally prefer but there’s a richness/creaminess to it than I am really enjoying. It’s close to lemon custard as it cools! Close.

I just said that I won’t need any more EG’s now that I have TARDIS and Mount Grey, but maybe I need to take it back. I hope Justea’s crowdfunding efforts are a success because I foresee future orders!

Boiling 4 min, 0 sec
