Goodbye yummy black Strawberry tea!
Happy New Years Eve to everyone. :)
We are doing nothing special today, but I did watch about 4 episodes of Supernatural (hello season 5!) so I’m very happy with where the day went! We’re almost out of Christmas cookies and chips and all that junk so that’s also a bonus. Then I won’t be tempted to eat all the bad things if it’s not sitting in my cupboard, taunting me.

So when’s the last time you guys have had this tea?
After my daughter found my old bags and ripped/dump them out all over the coffee table I started to wonder the same thing. Time to give it a try!
You know, it’s not half that bad. :P I didn’t add milk or sugar which is strange because I used to drink this before I drank looseleaf and I HAD to add stuff before. It’s strong, and malty, and maybe a little tiny bit smokey.
It’s an appropriate tea to end the year with.
Preparation
Ha ha. I keep a box of this in my cupboard all the time. I mostly use it for iced tea or for when I am experimenting with tea flavouring/blending. But every once in a while it is nice to have a cup. It is like my tea roots, where it all started.
That’s is the only tea my husband drinks! Usually it’s iced, but every now and then he’ll drink it hot.
I have the Costco sized box of this tea. My hubby’s grandmother only drinks this, so we have to keep some around for her. My hubby’s father only drinks this as well. It’s like coming back to an old friend. Lately, I have been drinking more of it because I think I’ve been looking for simplicity on the crazy Christmas haze. There’s a reason it’s still around :)

I can taste the apples and cherries but not much of the caramel. The caramel is more in the smell than the flavour.
This is good, but not one I"d re-stock, mostly because it’s a green tea.

Another cup of this – it’s so good, but not as good once it’s cooled. I just brewed it then I had to try and put the bear to bed, but then she refused to stay down and my cup was ruined for naught. :P
Now she’s watching Robin Hood (yes, at 2:44 AM), while I watch Supernatural, and we’re just winding down more… It’s not a bad life. She’ll most certainly sleep in until noon.
i will miss this one most when it’s gone of the fauchon teas. the others are nice but this one’s flavours appeal most to me AND it’s not a black base heh

That’s not bad. If we do it directly, it’s $15. And that sucks, but I’ve done that for H&S.
Yeah, I feel like you have to order a lot in order to justify the shipping.

These brothers need to stop lying to each other. I get the impression that this will be a constant for the entire show.

I’m nearly done Season 4 now and it’s making me crazy! I sorta read the ep descriptions for the next 3 and irresponsible me wants to dedicate the next 4 hours to finishing the season.
Responsible me has to get the child to bed at a decent hour and get some sleep myself.
We’ll see who wins!

So I made this an hour or so ago and left it in my Timolino because I didn’t want to turn the kettle on more than once. (Now that I have the new one, it doesn’t plug into the stove for some reason, and we don’t have enough outlets so right now I’m using it on the kitchen counter, but I have to pack it up and put it on a shelf afterwards because our kitchen is TINY)
And I totally forgot what tea this was. But then I remembered and I did a happy little dance. It was driving me crazy.
I love oatmeal raisin cookies and I love this tea. Sadly, I love sugar and I’ve been going overboard with all the treats the past few days. I made Turkey Dinner™ but I didn’t expect people to show up with so many cookies and chips and caramel popcorn and turtles. :O Once it’s gone I won’t be so tempted but it’s just sitting there…
I just ate 3 cookies while I wrote this note. :P Cookies, with my cookie tea.
I ate a giant cannoli while I wrote my last tea review so I get being tempted when something delicious is around. Damn you delicious sweets!!
Omg I can’t stop eating cookies! There’s way too many tempting leftovers in my house right now. And I’m the only one home which means no ones watching while I sneak cookies throughout the day! Thank god these cookies are almost gone. :)

Also, yeah I really can’t wait until the cookies are gone and I can grow some willpower back…
