141 Tasting Notes
Day 18 on the advent calendar… was too busy working to drink this yesterday. So I decided to make a pot this morning. The smell was comforting, but did not make me think of walnuts, but I still think this is a good tea. It isn’t just a regular mug of green tea, there is a special twist, a different ( good) taste to it. And I really am just enjoying it this morning. This is something I would consider buying when my tea collection dwindles down a bit.
So Yesturday I stopped by David’s Tea and was in the mood to try a different tea. I told the nice saleslady which teas I already own and love and as per her recoomendation and a smell test, I went with Bhudda’s Blend. I do no regret getting this one bit, it was a nice and lighter version of three wishes and had a soothing flowery smell. I was just completely taken by it. I should get a tin of this sometime soon.
So I went to David’s Tea quickly yesterday as I was in the mall and returning stuff. I decided a quick stop in DT before heading home would make my day. I got a tea to go and saw the samples. I already know what Chocolate Chili Chai tastes like, so I went for the Bravissimo, excited to try a new flavour. I think it’s safe to say that it is not my cup of tea. It tasted like licorice, which I usually like, but there was another flavour in there that just made me say ewww gross. So I ended up not finishing the sample.
So this is Day 16 of the tea calendar and I didn’t really like it. Right when I opened the tin and took a whiff, I smelt the cloves. I don’t really like cloves, especially since I got sick last year and made myself clove tea to get better. I assume that becuase this tea has clove in it, that it would be great to have around when being sick. But becuase clove has such a strong taste, I feel like it overpowered the drink for me.
So this was monday’s tea … Day 17 of the advent calendar. I meant to have Sunday’s first, but mixed up the tins and didn’t realise till I started drinking the tea. This tea is a mixture of black and white tea, with some chamomile. So it makes sense that it was very soothing to drink it. I found the flavour light and enjoyable.
Day 15 of this tea …. finally almost caught up :) . So this is a change from the black, then rooibos and then herbal selections. I didn’t really the the aroma of this tea at first, but when I brewed it, the smell grew on me. I think I had to get used to the taste as well, I feel that it is a stronger green tea, but it is still quite tasty. And no, this wasn’t pink like 3 of the previous teas, it was a nice yellowy green. So its nice to see a change of color. Happy Drinking
So I have this tea too, I tried it first this summer. Day 14 on the calendar, I decided to brew it iced for a busy day at work. I brewed it hot in the morning and slipped it in the fridge when I got to work. I pulled it out in the afternoon and had a refreshing iced tea. I really like this one. It is also a pink tea… so much beautiful colour.
