493 Tasting Notes
This tea was delicious tonight. Generally I’m not a big fan of rooibos. This one is not woodsy and doesn’t have unpleasant aftertaste. As it cools the flavors pop and I like it even more. Tastes like really juicy mango with slight sour note. No additions. Steeped according Butiki. I bet it would be fantastic chilled
Preparation
generous sample from TeaExplorer – Thank you. prepared in 4oz gaiwan. 195F because I’m chicken( not ready to face bitter notes). 5 sec rinse 5/5/5/5/10
Wet leaves smell strongly of dried apricots. its golden color, clear, smells kind of peppery and slightly smoky. Sweet. as it cools some bitterness comes but its rather pleasant. overall nice experience. dont want to rate due to lack of experience.
Preparation
It was a sample I tried. I don’t remember if it was astringent , probably not. But I like bold flavors , I’m not afraid of smoke( love it ). I hate when it’s bitter but again bitterness should be over the top . Slight is nice . I remember this sample as nice. It was a new experience for me at that time. And if I wrote it was nice, now I probably like it even more. I find cakes or bricks fr Puerhshop consistent.
this is a sample I purchased from Puerhshop. this is amazing. the tea is clear wine color, almost like cranberry juice color. taste wise its very smooth, sweet, no earthiness detected. kind of thick and some vanilla notes.
