short steeps of 10/15/20/30/45sec to be cont
this tea is amazing. it was hard to measure by spoon leaves are huge long twisted. sweet delicate taste, bready, cinnamon. its like sweet cinnamon bun if you decide to add some sugar or maple syrup. i didnt, it was sweet enough for me.
Flavors: Bread, Cinnamon, Vanilla

i was super excited when i got it yesterday. the tin is so fun, sunny and looks like spring. i found horse head finger puppet and for some reason i felt very happy like a child.
1tsp 195F 200ml pot 1min produced very rich cup of tea. golden brown in color, bready, molasses, tastes like cocoa, not too sweet.
2nd steep @2min i wanted to add 1 tsp brown sugar to see how flavors would change. it produced very satisfying cup of tea of melted dark chocolate. i like it either way
3rd steep @3min a little less flavor but still dark and strong. no sugar
Flavors: Bread, Cocoa, Malt, Molasses

i think i’m going to make it an A&D day and try this one and red-tailed hawk next. it will be fun to compare notes!
I dont have red-tailed hawk ;( i was thinking to pick it at NYC festival. I always like to read your notes. last night i ordered some samples from ATR because of free shipping. I was reading your notes;)
Sounds like a nice one! I’d recommend shorter steeps, you can balance it out by adding a bit more tea (so you don’t get weak steeps). :)
i was curious to try this tea. turned out i had a sample of it . lucky me:)
Rinse, wet leaves smell of roasted buckwheat
1st steep 5sec pale yellow green roasted floral flavor, some sweetness when cools
I keep smelling wet leaves, such an unusual aroma, strong, hard to describe. its pleasant to me and even clears up my sinuses due to allergy
as it cools color changes, gets more intense like apple juice
2 steep 5sec color greenish yellow, still strong aroma. its not as sweet as i imagined. very unusual taste.
i steeped this tea numerous times, eventually it mellowed to nice sweet tea but i cannot say that my first steeps were favorite.
im not rating this tea due my complete inexperience.

I’m in the mood for some dessert so I picked this tea. First time I tried it didn’t impress me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice tea but flavors were too subtle to notice. Just nice. Today I decided to make it chai style and it worked wonderfully. 8 min 1 1/2 tsp 175F 6 oz cup. It’s spicy and plum is quite noticeable . I really like it this way
