493 Tasting Notes
Revisiting . I’ve had quite a few shu since I had this one. Still love it. Maybe even more. It’s not boring smooth but its very pleasant. Wet leaves smell of dried cherry. Brew is a dark red color. Some fruity and dark chocolate flavors. I did shorter steeps than last time

Well, today is my ATR day. Its my 3rd tea. i want to give Romanoff another chance, maybe its my taste buds or very very cold weather.
This tea is incredible but it wasnt love at first sight. Dry leaves smell like strong sweet liquor. i steeped it according to ATR suggestions. Hot it tastes weird. I LOVE pu, figs, sesame seeds but this combination was just wrong to me. some woodiness probably from pu wasnt working. I could taste sweet fennel but no coconuts. i was thinking that it was smart of me getting only sample until it cooled… then i tried it again. oak woodiness somehow disappeared. and I decided to add tiny less than 1/4 of tsp of maple syrup. its magic. I love it. its definite repurchase in a near future.
Preparation
Amazing . I was so afraid that this tea is just a hype. It captures all the challah bread with orange bits and almonds. It’s as sweet as bread should be, rich in vanilla and marzipan, and cinnamon. I finished the cup wanting more but it’s enough for tonight. Easy 100

Thank you Morgana. I thought I was so over flav teas but Brioche just proved when its done right I’m all for it. Lets see if I will be same enthusiastic about the rest of my order with ATR.

Pyarkaaloo, I wish I order 2oz but got only sample sizes. I would send some your way. Im almost done w/ mine;). Its more economical to get samples and find out if you really like it. im not crazy about Romanoff already:(

Free sample w/purchase. I had a craving for some bold sweet tea. I kinda suffer from winter allergies and last night was unbearable. My taste buds suffer, I keep sneezing like crazy. This tea didn’t deliver. Not bad, just avg. I even added 2 tsp of maple syrup. Usually I add nothing to my tea. No rating.
Edit: as it cooled I like it more. Flavors become more pronounced

Those are my faves. It’s possible I just hallucinate. I want chocolate and dried cherries;)
